DRAFT BALLAGHADERREEN LOCAL AREA PLAN 2017-2023 In accordance with Section 20 of the Planning & Development Acts 20002015, notice is hereby given that Roscommon County Council proposes to make a Local Area Plan for the period 2017-2023, for • Ballaghaderreen Local Area In addition Roscommon County Council has prepared Environmental Reports of the likely significant effects on the environment of implementing the Local Area Plan in accordance with the Planning & Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 20042011. Habitats Directive Assessments (Appropriate Assessment) of the Local Area Plan has been carried out pursuant to Article 6 of the Habitats Directive 92/43/EEC. Ballaghaderreen Community Market This month’s Ballaghaderreen Community Market is taking place on Saturday, 8th of April. The market is being held across three shop units in Duffy’s SuperValu carpark, and runs from 10 am until 3 pm. There will be a range of craft stalls attending including jewellery, knitwear/winter woolies, cakes and bakes, jams, chutneys, and much more. Anyone wishing to book a stall can do so by contacting Linda on 089-4447788.

Easter Coffee Morning for Hospice in St John’s An Easter Coffee Morning will be help in St. John’s Community Centre, Lecarrow on Monday, April 10th from 10.30 am-1.30 pm. Proceed to Roscommon/Mayo Hospice. All are welcome.

Lecture on Maud Gonne’s Men A meeting of the Co. Roscommon Historical & Archaeological Society will take place on Tuesday, 11th of April at 8 pm in the Percy French Hotel, Strokestown. Following at 8.30 pm a lecture will take place entitled Maud Gonne’s Men by Anthony J. Jordan, a graduate of NUI Maynooth and UCD. Maud Gonne was an English-born Irish Revolutionary, suffragette and actress of Anglo-Irish stock and birth. She was won over to Irish nationalism by the plight of people in the Land Wars. All are welcome.

Derelict Sites Act 1990 NOTICE OF MAKING OF VESTING ORDER Under Section 17 (3) of the Derelict Sites Act 1990 TAKE NOTICE that Roscommon County Council hereinafter called “the Local Authority” has on the 30th March 2017, made a Vesting Order where the land specified in the Schedule hereto will on the 5th May 2017, Vest in the Local Authority in Fee Simple free from encumbrances and all estates, rights, titles and interests of whatsoever kind pursuant to Section 17 of the Derelict Sites Act 1990 AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that a copy of the said Vesting Order and the map therein referred to, may now be inspected at the Customer Services Desk, Roscommon County Council, Áras an Chontae, Roscommon during office hours. Copies of the Draft Local Area Plan for Ballaghaderreen, together with Environmental Reports for the Plan will be on public display from 4th April, 2017 to 18th May, 2017 (both dates inclusive, but excluding bank holidays).

Or email forwardplan@roscommoncoco.ie Children, or groups or associations representing the interests of children, are entitled to make submissions or observations. Submissions or observations must be received by 4.30 p.m. on 18th May, 2017. The name of the person and /or body making the submission or observation should be stated. Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Local Area Plan & Environmental Reports made to Roscommon County Council within the stated period will be taken into consideration.
