weddings expert: the venue

Magnolia Gardens

The Expert Claudia Slezak, Wedding Coordinator/Facility Manager Known For Creating dream weddings at the four unique, indoor and outdoor ceremony and/or reception venues within Springdale’s Magnolia Gardens Background For the past few years, Claudia has dedicated her time to helping brides create a memorable and enjoyable wedding day. In addition to Magnolia Gardens, she also supervises catering services for The Event Group’s off-site catering division. She knows what to look for in a facility and how to best accentuate the positive at each venue location.

Claudia’s Advice for Brides-to-Be: What are the top three considerations couples should make when selecting a venue? First, consider your

anticipated guest count. The facility needs to comfortably handle guests and all the other aspects of the event (entertainment, dance area, food and beverage, etc.). Secondly, decide if you want an indoor or outdoor reception or a combination. The weather may be a factor, so consider rain plans and temperatures. Lastly, look at the amenities included in the venue. Are tables and chairs included? Set-up? These are items that might cost extra or need to be rented. The more the venue includes, the better.

Beyond the location, what type of services does Magnolia Gardens offer? Our package plans include

tables, chairs, china, silverware, parking attendants, full day access from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m., separate changing rooms for the bridal party, a pre-wedding day two-hour engagement or formal bridal photo session on the grounds with their photographer and more. We also handle the catering and bar service. In addition, we make recommendations on any other vendors they might need.

OUTDOOR GLAM

The Magnolia Grove is a beautiful backdrop for guest seating.

How far in advance should brides plan to book the venue? For popular months, such as May, June, September, and October, they should book as soon as possible—at least one year out. Off months or off dates (Sundays-Fridays) have a lot more flexibility.

From start to finish, in terms of planning, preparation and the actual day, what can a bride expect when they book with Magnolia Gardens? A bride can expect help along
