Clockwise from top left: Two wicker rocking chairs offer additional seating at the edge of the porch, while Mondo grass, planted between large stepping stones, gives the feel of a naturally formed terrace. The fireplace, which is located at the far side of the garden, is a quiet retreat that Beebe says she enjoys using year-round. During the renovation, a koi pond was removed from a space near the fireplace. To incorporate a new water feature, Beebe asked for a fountain that would provide a soft, tranquil sound. Facing page: Comfortable, oversized chairs that feature custom upholstery, along with pieces such as the starburst mirror, patterned rug, and pair of matching lamps make the covered porch feel like a true extension of the house.
