Track and trace

The entire production chain of the day-old chicks must be traceable. For the purpose of track and trace, many countries require hatching eggs to be stamped with a code.

The laying date must be clearly indicated per egg tray, as eggs are not generally collected for transport daily. Washed eggs in the lower trays of the trolley have been coded individually.

Country of origin

Each hatching egg is stamped with a code stating at least the country of origin, the producer code and a hatching egg code.

Export eggs also state the date of laying. This code also indicates that the egg has been washed.
