Guidelines for Submitting Manuscript 1. Write your name, title and subtitle on first page 2. Allow lines to wrap normally in paragraphs. 3. Use page breaks (not the Enter key) to start a chapter on a new page. (hint: crtl+enter creates a page break in Word.) 4. Use one space after a period, not two. 5. Use automatic first-line indents instead of tabs or spaces. 6. Do not hyphenate words 7. Do not “justify” text to the right margin. 8. Do not use styles 9. Use black for font color 10. Do not format footnotes or endnotes. 11. Index, bibliography should be included at the end of the manuscipt. 12. Use one-inch margins all around the text. 13. Use one extra line to separate scenes in a chapter. 14. Don’t use blank lines after paragraphs (other than for #12) 15. Use standard 12-point Times New Roman double space (or another standard serif font), use Arial for titles or chapters. 16. Include tables in word document at exact location if the table is too large put it on separate page 17. Table of content is not needed, it will be calculated during layout process. 18. Send pictures or book graphics to be included in the text of the manuscript as separate files. 19. Name the position of graphics as picture001, picture002... at exact position where needed. Separate picture title with blank line above. Write the caption for the graphics under picture001, then separate with blank line 20. Provide pictures in enough quality so they can be manipulated.
