1st Fragrance

We are not superstitious but… you never know. Indeed, as the Italian playwright Eduardo de Filippo said: “Being superstitious is ignorant; but not being so is bad ".

The quote "it's not true ... but I believe it.

In many countries of the world there are superstitious rituals against bad luck, such as never passing after a black cat, wearing a certain type of color in the important moments of one's life, or wearing an amulet that keeps us away from negative things.

In Italy there are many too, and the city of Naples is a real theater of traditions and folklore .

For years Nobile 1942 has been proposing to tell pieces of Italian history and culture through his scents. For this reason he launches “

I Rituali", three fragrances that want to be an olfactory tale of three superstitious gestures still present in our daily life. Three scented amulets created according to the quality standards of the other fragrances in the range but with the addition of a hint of irony. To give to oneself but also to those who do not believe in these things. Because you can also be skeptical and rational, but "you never know".

The amulet that brings you luck

Luck is blind but the bad luck can see very well.

For this reason, the question that is usually asked to those who have a bad time is: "Don't you have (evil) eyes on you?" Hence, in fact, the origin of the word "Malocchio = Evil Eye".

Fortunately, however, there is a remedy for this "jinx": The only one who can destroy this bad luck is a kind of witch with her rituals and incomprehensible phrases that seem to come from ancient texts written in unknown languages. She manage to free you negative energies.

But to keep negative things totally out there is an amulet ( il corniciello) , similar to a red small chili, that only if received as gift sorts the positive effects against bad energies

La Loggia degli aranci The Orange Trees Lodge

One of the most evocative places in Ferrara is a terrace in the Estense Castle complex, so suggestive that it is said to have inspired the most famous work by Ludovico Ariosto.

Here, in a grove, the pots of orange trees are protected from the cold of the winter season in a Renaissance loggia that encloses all the sparkling and enveloping smells of the orange trees, which remain there waiting for the next spring, when luxuriant nature awakens.

THE FRAGRANCE

: Sparkling citrus notes are wrapped in soft floral and vanilla notes, giving this fragrance a unique warmth reminiscent of the domestic hearth. Designed to convey a soft and warm hospitality to all those who cross the threshold of the house.

Notes: Orange, Orange Blossom, Carnation, Nutmeg, vanilla.

The Ocean : Mysterious and almost completely unexplored.

How is it possible that something so unlimited and unspoilt holds us back so long?

Liquid light without a center or principle that invites us to immerse ourselves leaving the outside world behind us

The force of gravity does not exist, the noises become silence and as we go deeper and deeper, with slow movements because we know, the ocean could get angry.

We find ourselves disoriented and enraptured by the kaleidoscope of colors in an abyss that we had always imagined dark.

THE FRAGRANCE:

An enveloping fragrance where marine notes are enveloped in vanilla, caramel and sandalwood, almost as if to bring with us those streaks of blinding light that also illuminate our world on dry land.

Notes: marine accord, white flowers, sandalwood, vanilla, caramel, benzoin, musk.

There are those who read, those who use the telephone, few look out the window to enjoy the wonders of nature and the landscape that only the train can show us.

And this is how that train that we take every day cradles us on its seats making us dream of the journey to come.

It's a matter of a second and we find ourselves on the most famous train in the world embarking on a journey towards a mysterious, decadent and refined Orient, wild and dangerous like a tiger, a symbol of the Belle Epoque. We are so absorbed in our thoughts that we can almost smell the spices and resins… with the risk of missing our stop.

The fragrance: an enveloping and inviting spicy heart like the warmth of a blanket.

Juicy and sparkling citrus fruits enhance the smell of spices creating a perfect balance.

We can all be kings and queens, if only for one day! Once upon a time in France, and there still is, the ancient custom of serving "The king's cake". According to tradition, the oldest of those present cuts the cake into slices, leaving an extra slice in memory of the custom according to which even the poor, knocking on the door, would find something to eat during the Epiphany. The younger diner, hidden under the table so as not to watch the cutting, then decides who to assign the slices to. Whoever finds the broad bean in his slice wears the crown and becomes king or queen of the day and, in theory, will be able to "give orders" to the rest of the group throughout the day, proposing what to do to continue the celebrations

THE FRAGRANCE: a hymn to sweetness, as tradition dictates! The butter of the fragrance pastry encloses a layer of frangipani cream like a casket with its unmistakable scent of almond and spices.

The scented wooden walls, the fireplace lit, the sun has long since set but it's a less dark night: everything is wrapped in the soft whiteness of the snow and is preparing to shine again in the first rays of the sun of the coming day. A unique atmosphere where the smells of the mountain chalet combine with the many gustatory facets of the distillate that we slowly sip.
