Improving the quality of life and the service for old people

The origin of the word "travel" is most likely lost to history. The term "travel" may originate from the Old French word travail. According to the Merriam Psychological Webster dictionary, the first known use of the word travel was in the 14th century. It also states that the support and word comes from Middle English travailen, travelen protection which means to torment, labor, strive, journey and earlier from Old French travailler which means to work strenuously, toil words travel and travail both share an even more ancient root: a Roman instrument of word

Today, travel may or may not be much easier depending upon the destination you choose, Mt. Everest, the Amazon rainforest, how you plan to get there tour bus, cruise ship, or oxcart, and whether or Opportunities for not you decide to "rough it see extreme tourism and social interaction adventure travel. "There's a big difference between simply being a tourist and being a true world traveler," notes travel writer Michael Kasum.

Trips for the seniors One of the favourite activity for the elderly are the trips. The elderly have the possibility to see a new place for the first time or returning back to a favorite place. For them it's a pleasurable experience to convince how wonderful our country actually is. We have visited beautiful places not only in Chisinau but also outside. The basic aim of the journeys is to make them feel good in a new place and abstract from everyday busy life. Traveling it's a perfect way for this! In the same time, it's the best way to have fun! Our elderly say that : "Age is only a number, don't hesitate to keep an active life!".

Elderly love to discover new people and new environment. The exhibitions or attendings of special events gave them the opportunity to accumulate new information about art and culture. The feelings of admiration have been deeply experienced by our beneficiaries, so everyone felt embraced by the emotions of discovering the national and international art, the main trends and its characteristics.

WHATEVER HAPPENS, A TRIP ALWAYS GIVES YOU A STORY TO TELL. All the historical, geographical and religious journeys have a deep importance for elderly. They keep in memory all beautiful views and write a book of life with happy pages.

The curiosity of the elderly has no limits. Even in old age they keep that child enthusiasm and the desire to know new things. This is why they are always active and curious. For the mind and soul it is beneficial to live new experiences in a new places with new people. The beautiful monasteries, museums, parks, and the touristic points we visited have a spiritual and a historical value, what represent a real treasure for our country.

CELEBRATING FEASTS

THE

TOGETHER

Because Casa Providentei convey Christian values like charity, kindness, mercy, we love to celebrate Christian feasts together. We take these for the occasion to prepare concerts and special program to enjoy and share goodness. In this context, elderly can develop their skills or find a talent they never knew about. It is also a good possibility to talk about faith and charity in a warm atmosphere all together. The Christmas and the Easter are our favourite and expected feasts. The old people sing thematic songs, shows scenes, prepare exhibitions and reflect about their own soul. The preparation for this period is also the blessed period. Every events is made with love and involves all the beneficiaries who want to participate. Effective communication, love and creativity create great things. In Daily Center elderly can celebrate holidays in the group with other people and forget about their loneliness.

"Do not abandon yourselves to despair. We are the Easter people and Hallelujah is our song". Pope John Paul II

Happiness, peace, joy and hope are the elderly's feelings when we have holiday in Center. Due to the fact that most of them do not have a family or live alone the feeling of joy is double because here they feel loved and appreciated. Thanks to national and international volunteers they spend a very nice time in the center and can know interesting foreign traditions. In this case, in collaboration with children and young people the joy of celebration is lived more intensely. It is not true that elderly's skills at the advanced age deteriorate. Our beneficiaries show that they are strong and have the same qualities as they are in youth.

NATIONAL TRADITIONS AND CULTURE

Transmitted from one generation to the next the national traditions have an important part in daily life of our elderly. In this theme we usualy prepare traditional concerts and exhibitions. One of the oldest Moldovian tradition is "Sezatoarea", what means a reunion of people in one house where they can sing, dance, have handmade activity, recite poems or just makes jokes. At "Sezatoarea" at Daily Center for Elderly people sing thematic and traditional songs, decorate the room and recite their preferred poems. In this way, the national spirit is promoted. Throught these activities, the elderly spend a wonderful time and remind their childhood.

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE PROJECT

Daily Center offers a great and careful environment for elderly, deprived of any financial and psychological support. During the years this center has become not just a place for spending time, but a welcome house. We can see a significant increase in the importance of this project after the number of people who feel protected and satisfied. Every year this number is growing,so we can affirm with certainty that it is a strong project that promotes the values our society needs so much. The impact of this center is considerable and comes in response to the needs of society. We can say without a doubt that we realize a supreme mission of the Lord to help and love your neighbour. Also, we can speak about social and emotional progress, because elderly become more confident for tomorrow's day and more caring about each other. Step by step, Daily Center is developing thanks to Caritas Viena, that has supported our project. We have come to a stage when we understand that we have done a lot and we are aware that we can do even more! We are positive about the future and objectively appreciate our possibilities. We want to prove that the joy of our work is greater than any suffering. All this is possible thanks to everyone who supported or prayed for us. Thank you for everything that we have achieved until now and for the supporting the continuous of this important project!
