In this introductory course you will learn about hardware features; navigating the device; getting connected to Wi-Fi; downloading apps; working with settings; and more. iPad: The next step

Tuesday, January 17 // 2:00-4:00pm If you feel comfortable with the iPad basics then it’s time to take your knowledge and confidence to the next step. We’ll zero in on more settings including those for keeping your device secure and protecting your privacy; learn more about using the popular browser, Safari; discover how to back up your iPad; and discuss many of iCloud’s great features. Prerequisites: Bring your own iPad and know your Apple ID/Password. Must understand basic iPad operations. Fee: $20.00

Tuesday, January 24 // 2:00-4:00pm If our previous classes have left you wanting more, come join us again as we delve further into iPad’s fun and functional features. We will talk in more detail about using the camera; find out how to organize using calendars and reminders; and keep in touch with friends and family. KEeping Kids Safe Online

Tuesday, February 7 // 7:00-8:00pm Worried about what your kids are looking at and who they are communicating with online? Take this class to discover ways to keep your kids safe. We will cover topics such as how to use the parental controls on an iPad or an Amazon Fire tablet, how to use filtering software on a web browser, and how to say safe on social media along with general advice on how to create a safe online environment. In addition to sending and reading email you will learn to manage your inbox with all of the organizational tools Google has to offer. Become comfortable with the advanced settings you may not even know exist.
