The breathtaking mountain views that Little Belt Mountains boasts, inspired Jessica Billings Photography and other central Montana vendors to create this wintery, mountain chic inspired wedding. Their vision came to life at Showdown Montana, which is nestled in the heart of the state. The family-owned ski resort has been around since 1936 and offers some of the most beautiful backdrops for a winter wedding. The ski resort has 36 runs and you can choose between a mountain, deck or lodge setting for your wedding. The couple utilized Showdown’s chairlifts to take some cozy photos, which is something you can include in your wedding package there. Signage on the lifts designed by Hillary’s Wood and Vinyl added a unique and rustic touch to the decor.

EARTHY AND ELEGANT TONES

Bloom and Bean floral helped bring this winter wedding to life by including pops of green and white seasonal floral in the bride’s bouquet and later displaying it in ski boots. The creative team focused on using neutral and earthy tones like green, navy and white. You’ll also notice cozy and unique winter elements such as the bride’s shaw and a Pendleton blanket, which added a pop of color and texture to the entire theme.

SWEET TOUCHES

Cakes for Thought created the elegant cake inspired by the natural beauty of Montana and the venue. They used pops of greenery and local floral and tied together the detail of the cake with hints of gold flakes to give it a little flare. The pine cones also gave the cake an organic touch that perfectly fit with the season. It was displayed on a round tree plaque to tie the entire piece together. “Presentation is key but the taste is everything. So I chose a light elegant champagne flavor to compliment the simplicity of the wedding theme. A light flavor not too heavy for the bride of course,” Hana Maunu, Cakes For Thought.
