Introduction to Interior decorating (1 Credit) Do you walk into a room and say/feel, “WOW, this room needs something!” Then, this course is an ideal way to have fun while learning how to DECORATE! We’ll cover the why’s and how’s of selecting colors, flooring, lighting, furniture and more. An outline and handouts in related subject matter will be provided. You can actually work hands-on to decorate a room of your choice while keeping the project budget-sensitive. By the end of the course, the area you chose will reflect something practical and useful for all members of the household. Professional guest speakers, a fieldtrip to a local store, and learning how to organize and present a personal/client presentation board will be included. home Inspection licensure Program –On-line (5 credits) This self-paced on-line class requires reading from the book – Home Referen ce Book; ISBN: 0-7931-8093-7. You will be building a home inspection report as you travel through the program. Each section has a quiz to confirm that you have the knowledge to proceed. These quizzes can be taken from your home. The lessons will require you to answer questions as you read through the book. The final exam is a proctored exam. We will assist you in finding a proctor to witness you taking this exam. You will have full access to Charles Bellefontaine and Corey Friedman during, and after the classes as support while you build your business. This online class does not include the required 10 hours of live training (lab time) you need in order to sit for the state exam. You will have the option of attending one of our 5 live field training classes at no additional cost, or you can set up a time with a field trainer for an additional fee of approx. $150/day. (5 credits) Prepare for the Illinois Home Inspection State Licensing Exam with this state-approved course, consisting of classroom, online and in-field instruction with two live home inspections. Topics include the physical components of a home, communication skills, knowledge of professional practices, what may go wrong as well as the cause and implications of problems that result. Participants will receive clear direction concerning what to look for during an inspection, such as signs of non-performance due to old age, deferred maintenance, weather damage, and poor workmanship. Our instructors are experienced licensed home inspectors and active members of the American Society of Home Inspectors [ASHI]. Upon completion of the approved pre-licensing course, applicants must pass the Home Inspection State Licensing Exam before they are eligible for a license in the State of Illinois. [Cost of exam is NOT included in the course fee]. E-mail access and an internet connection are required. Classroom instruction will be held at Kishwaukee College in Malta, Illinois, in computer lab A-350, which is accessible through the Conference Center. Paralegal/legal assistant/lawyer’s assistant Certificate Program RVC Continuing Professional Education, in collaboration with Midwest Paralegal Studies, offers a 12-month Paralegal Certificate of Completion to those who complete all five courses in the series. This generalist program provides the novice or those currently working in the legal field, a comprehensive overview of all the paralegal roles and responsibilities. how the Program Works This is a private online tutoring program designed to let you work at a pace comfortable for your busy lifestyle. At the beginning of each course, students will access all of the lectures and study materials they will need online on the website. Courses may be taken in any order; however, we recommend students take classes in the order in which they are listed below. Paralegal Research (1 Credit) This course presents an overview of entry-level paralegal research and writing tools. All students will access law resources online and at the local library once a week for specific assignments. In addition, each student will write an office legal memo using legal techniques and current rules of law applying the same to support a conclusion based upon the IRAC analytical reasoning technique. All work must be submitted online. Cost $195

Paralegal Jurisprudence (1 Credit) This course presents an overview of the paralegal profession including many of the more popular entry-level areas of legal specialization (family, corporate, probate, real estate, immigration, bankruptcy law, and many others). All students will be required to select and pursue at least one specialty area and write a twelve-part report for substantive career development. Each student will also be required to take weekly quizzes and a final exam online. Cost $195
