On Friday evenings, guests can step into the convivial surroundings of Bar Prince and join the new Neighbourhood Cocktail Club. Surrounded by the ‘pop’ of Champagne corks and the rattle of cocktail shakers, the Neighbourhood Cocktail Club welcomes those looking for an evening filled with laughter and decadent drinks. The bar’s expert mixologists have developed a new range of classic cocktails with a twist, from a Raspberry Bramble to a Scottish Bloody Mary, there is a tipple to suit every taste and occasion. AFTERNOON TEA ABUNDANCE In anticipation of loved ones reuniting for a special afternoon together, Palm Court’s tea collection has been newly extended, offering a selection of 88 thoughtfully curated loose leaf teas to choose from. The collection, one of the largest in Scotland, compliments the new seasonal Afternoon Tea menu created by the hotel’s dedicated team of pastry chefs and has been designed to enjoy under a new installation of blossom trees that proudly don the centre of Palm Court. Leaving the bustle of Princes Street behind and stepping through the doors of Bar Prince, an evening of cocktails, decadent dishes and live jazz music from the glamorous Kitty LaRoar awaits. The Balmoral invites guests to unwind in the relaxed surroundings of Bar Prince and enjoy the show. Kitty LaRoar is an established and unique talent in the jazz scene, singing while standing at her custom drum kit. Kitty met her long time collaborator, jazz pianist Nick Shankland in Soho London in 2004 and they immediately embarked together on a career in cabaret before focusing exclusively on jazz. Book now

INTRODUCING MATHEW SHERRY The Balmoral has proudly welcomed Mathew Sherry as the new Head Chef of Number One - the hotel’s fine-dining Michelin-starred restaurant. Edinburgh born Mathew joins Number One from his role as Head Chef of Michelin-starred Northcote in Lancashire, where he worked closely with Executive Chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen. Mathew will continue to showcase seasonal Scottish produce at the forefront of the Number One dining experience.
