HOW TIME TIMER® VISUAL TIMERS WORK: Time Timer® believes in creating products that truly help people of all ages and abilities conquer time. While time can be a challenge for everyone, we aim to provide intuitive and innovative solutions that can make a real difference. Our goal is to empower everyone to conquer time.

Our children need us now, more than ever. Often, the children are some of the most resilient people we ever witness, but they are also often the most vulnerable among us. As we move forward together through 2022, please know that everyone at Time Timer® stands behind all those who work with children, be it their own or the children in their classroom, therapy space, exam room or home. Your work is hard and their needs are great. Our goals are the same: we all strive to help children. We do it in so many different ways. I’ve said this before, and it is worth repeating – our children are our future. The better we can care for them and prepare them for the future, the better for all of us.

Please join us in wishing Jan Rogers, Time Timer® inventor and founder, a happy and well-deserved retirement. Almost 30 years ago, Jan Rogers was a busy mom with a curious kindergartner. Her daughter routinely asked questions about time: “How much longer? When will we go?” So, she began to sketch a solution to help children visualize time. What followed was meetings, patent applications, and end-less hours of assembling and shipping the Time Timer® on her own. Eventually, solopreneurship turned into a team effort, and the vision of “being able to see time” traveled around the globe. Today, the same Time Timer® Jan sketched on that legal pad can be found in classrooms, homes, therapy centers, restaurants, conference rooms, and factories worldwide. We, the Time Timer® team, could not be more proud of the ingenuity, creativity, and dedication that Jan devoted to her business and her team over the years. Thank you, Jan!

With your glittered hands, shake hands with the other person. What do you see on your hands? (The colors of glitter combined on each person’s hand). You SHARED the glitter! Its familiar disappearing disk, paired with the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and WHO (World Health Organization) recommended scrubbing duration for clean hands, gives people of all ages and abilities an easy-to-understand resource for ensuring their hands are germ-free. Perfect for the classroom, the bathroom, or the kitchen.

Music and sound can be switched off and on. The sound can be used to help reinforce steps or the timer can be run silently for sound sensitive environments.

Pour a small amount of each color of glitter into its own separate tray or plate (one color per tray). Ask your child to place the palm of his/her hand into their favorite color of glitter. Then, have the other person do the same but in the other color of glitter.

MATERIALS NEEDED

The doctors say that we should scrub our hands and fingers for at least 20 seconds. Help your child time themselves while they scrub. Note: Using the Time Timer® WASH, is a great way to help children understand the amount of time needed to wash their hands thoroughly.
