The Cube The project challenges students to use a combination of dowels and cubes to create a larger cube. Students were then tasked to showcase their drafting skills by drawing sections, elevations, and perspectives.

Grad Design 2 Artist Coffee House
The project asked students to investigate a desired African American artist and their contribution to the world. An analysis should be made and represented through parti modes on the understanding of that individuals talents. These assessments will later inform the design intentions and look to translate into architecture. The building type is a coffee house to serve the FAMU student body.

ORLANDO PHOTOGRAPHY INSTITUTE Photography Museum The concept behind the Orlando Photography Institute was derived from two ideas. The first emphasizing the procession from student to professional. I believe as a student, the dream is for your art/work to be displayed and embraced by others. The institute is split into two sides. One for the school and the other for the museum. Students pass through ceremonial bridges from their studios to the gallery to embrace their passage into the professional world. The other core idea was based on the “Urban Stroll.” Orlando is in the mist of new urban development. Being located in the “Creative Village” right off the newly developed Terry Avenue, offered the building a unique opportunity to influence the urban role of this district. The spaces between the school and the museum acts as a valley for the public

Urban Studio Tallahassee Chain Of Parks This project looked to highlight urban opportunities for Tallahassee, FL. The project asked students to come up with a comprehensive plan for Tallahassee that could be applied throughout the city.

Tallahassee Chain Of Parks THE CONCEPT BEHIND THE CHAIN OF PARKS IS THE UNIFICATION OF THE CITY THROUGH SOCIAL ACTIVITY. THE NEW PARK LOOKS TO INCREASE DENSITY DOWNTOWN IN HOPES TO CREATE A NEW URBAN LIFE OF THE CITY. THE CONCEPT WAS DERIVED FROM A STUDY OF TALLAHASSEE’S DIFFERENT DISTRICTS FROM PERSONALITIES TO ASSETS. THESE DISTRICTS GAVE INSIGHT TO THEIR UNIQUE IDENTITIES. THIS PROPOSAL ANALYSES THE AREAS WHERE THESE DISTRICTS OVERLAP AND CREATE INTERESTING URBAN OPPORTUNITIES. THE CHAIN OF PARKS LOOKS TO HIGHLIGHT THESE DISTRICTS’ CHARACTERISTICS THROUGH ONE FLUID PARK. THUS, BRINGING THE DISTRICTS TOGETHER TO CREATE A UNIQUE URBAN EXPERIENCE. THE CHAIN OF PARKS IS AN ADAPTIVE URBAN PLAN. MEANING IT IS NOT ONLY FLEXIBLE TO ITS OWN FUTURE GROWTH, BUT THIS CONCEPT CAN BE IMPLEMENTED IN OTHER AREAS AROUND TOWN.
