Keep Your Eyes On The Prize
Everyday is a new day to begin again.
To renew commitments, starting that new class, exercising, eating right, being kind to others, helping where I can.
To tell you the truth that’s easier said than done. Sometimes if feels like a long hard road ahead but I’m not going to make that jouney in one leap. It sometimes means that I will have to start over and over again and that is where I can find gratitude that I’ve kept going. There are many people in my Life that are my “doers” that inspire me to move forward. It’s important to find Peace in my daily Life, to take Joy in other people’s triumphs and learn the lessons that maybe they have learned. I was born on this earth against all odds and there is a place for me to be of service just as there is a place for you.

My ambitions are to learn as much as I can about the entertainment industry and be able to make singing, acting, and modeling my full time job. When it comes to music, I can’t get enough of Migos and Silk Sonic. They’re like the coolest soundtracks to my life!
You know what’s the best treat ever?

DiaDeLosMuertos A Day of Rememberance, Connection, and Reflection
Every year families gather to take time to honor and remember their deceased loved ones also known as the Mexican celebration, Dia de Muertos. A celebration that takes place at the end of October and beginning of November, Dia de Muertos is a joyful festivity filled with color, singing, and love. A holiday where the gates of heaven are opened for a brief reunion with family, during this brief period, the souls of the dead awaken and return to the living world to feast, drink, dance and play music with their loved ones. In turn, the living family members treat the deceased as honored guests in their celebrations and leave the deceased’s favorite foods and other offerings at gravesites or on the ofrendas built in their homes. Specifically in Mexico City, the tradition has grown to include an annual parade that is attended by thousands. The viewers and the paraders alike are dressed in their vibrant representations of the Catrina and the Catrin with the colorful face paint of the Calavera or death itself. A day of joyous occasion, a time to gather with everyone in your family, those alive and those dead.

Get Ready to Rock Homecoming with Outrageous Fashion Trends!
If you’re like me and super excited about the upcoming homecoming dance, you’re in for a treat. Homecoming isn’t just about dancing and having a blast; it’s also a fantastic time to show off your unique style and have some fashion fun! Let’s dive into some of the coolest and most outrageous fashion trends that can make our homecoming unforgettable.
Shimmer and Shine with Sequins: Imagine wearing a dress or an outfit that sparkles like a treasure chest! That’s the magic of sequins and glitter! These shiny materials can make you feel like a superstar. You can find sequined dresses or even se quined accessories like bags and shoes to add that extra sparkle to your look.
Suiting Up with Style: Who says dresses are the only choice for home coming? Suits are all the rage these days, and they can make you look super stylish and confident. You can choose a suit in fun colors like bright red or royal blue, or keep it classic with a black suit and add a pop of color with a cool tie or bowtie.
Vibrant Neon Colors: If you want to be the life of the party and stand out, neon colors are your best bet. Neon dresses or accessories will make you look like a walking rainbow. Pick your favorite neon shade – it could be electric green, hot pink, or neon orange – and get ready to shine brightly!
Travel Back in Time with Vintage: Vintage fashion is all about taking inspiration from the past. Ask your parents or
grandparents about their old clothes, or visit thrift stores to find unique vintage treasures. You can rock a retro-inspired look from the ‘70s, ‘80s, or ‘90s, like a disco-inspired jumpsuit or a cool ‘90s grunge-style dress.
Accessorize Like a Pro: The right accessories can take your homecoming outfit to the next level. Think about oversized hair clips, statement earrings, and funky headbands to add that extra touch of style and personality to your look.
Wild Patterns and Prints: Animal prints, tie-dye, and bold patterns are super trendy. Don’t be afraid to mix and match different patterns to create a one-of-a-kind outfit. It’s all about expressing your cre-
Eco-Friendly Fashion: If you care about the environment, you can choose sustainable fashion for your homecoming look. Thrift stores and upcycled clothing are great options. It’s not only stylish but also a way to help our planet.
Remember, the most important thing is to have fun and express yourself through your fashion choices. Homecoming is your chance to shine, so don’t be afraid to be unique and outrageous with your style. Be confident, smile, and dance the night away with your friends – you’ll be the star of the show! Enjoy your homecoming and all the fashion adventures it brings!

Your Zodiac
You’re at a turning point when it comes to the future of your most important relationships. The task is to understand what needs to die versus what you need to nourish so it can usher in a new birth. This requires your emotional intelligence and astute self-awareness to navigate.
Lately, you may feel like a whole different person—even like you’re inhabiting a different body. Your health has been a major focus for you and the month ahead is no different. The theme is about creating space when it comes to your daily habits so you can bring in more of what you truly need.
Now’s the time to get into a creative headspace as this can help you immensely in getting through your days and finishing your overdue work. A yearning for inspiration can do wonders for your mental health. If you’re not in the mood, get yourself in the mood. Just remember not to be attached to the outcome.
Something related to your close relationships could be going through pivotal moments of change this month ahead. It’s just the beginning, so don’t jump to conclusions about worst-case scenarios. Some of the transformations are critical for your healing and growth—especially when it comes to your sense of belonging.
As you navigate a major ending and turning point in your work and overall life direction, you will become more sensitive to the dynamics of your daily surroundings. You may notice how things are starting to change around you. Or perhaps it’s more that you’re outgrowing familiar spaces and you want to move through a different kind of vibe and crowd.
Do you generally feel a better sense of your place in the world, simply because you’re firmly grounded in your personal beliefs, values and principles? This state of being is not a static one, either, as humans are often in flux. If you haven’t yet, embark on a new journey that will teach you a new frame of perspective.
Your frustrations may have you wanting to give up or back off, and while that may be the right move, it’s important that you explore your options. The things that are happening in your life—the good and the bad—are pointing to what needs care and attention within you. You are changing, Libra, and within that lives the opportunity to let go of your old baggage.
One of the manifestations of deep inner work is the need to integrate what may feel like disparate parts of your whole being. This month ahead is quite reflective and you’re invited to pay closer attention to your health. This can look like tending to your physical wellness but also taking care of your mental, emotional and spiritual health as well.
You may feel called to join new community spaces where you can meet people and contribute your gifts. This new beginning will continue to build up until the spring of 2024. Now more than ever it feels important that you are an essential part of movements that you care about. You’re starting to move away from any work-oriented values and beliefs that were making you unwell before.
A potent purging and simultaneous blossoming is transpiring in your career and overall contemplations of your life path. You’ve had some time to get to know what makes you tick, what brings you joy and what facilitates your creative flow. Don’t underestimate the importance of your excitement when it comes to your choices.
Get obsessed with learning something new that will change some of your fundamental beliefs. It can be a very niche subject, as per your usual, but its domino effect on the way you see the world can be life-altering. It’s exciting for the most part— and also a bit unnerving—to change your mind about things you thought were a stable reality for you. It’s time to let go of a past.
Avoiding something doesn’t make it go away. In fact, sometimes when you skirt around an important issue, things become a bigger deal than they actually are. Avoidance can be a useful strategy only if you actually give your presence to whatever you’re avoiding at a later date. Sometimes the most important thing in life is to show up—even if you feel like you can’t or don’t know how to.

Peso Pluma
i! It’s Chelsey again! I’m back with another article. Today, I’ll be talking about Peso Pluma and all the talk about his recent performances and the ones to come. To get more indepth with Hassan Emilio Kabande Laija, better known as Peso Pluma, let’s get to know him and his early accomplishments. He was born in Guadalajara, Mexico. As a teen, he spent time in New York as well as attending high school in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on June 15, 1999. With his first album, “Ah y Que?” in 2020, which didn’t hit the charts, we all know that his newer albums are a completely different story. We all know his songs are mostly Narcocorridos, or maybe in other names, corridos belicos, and many sought him out to be an alucin. He had many plans to do concerts in Mexico, including the areas: Jalisco, Nuevo Leon, and Distrito
H
Federal. He also had plans to make appearances in Tijuana, Mexico. If you didn’t know yet, his concert has been canceled. Why? Four banners ran across bridges in Tijuana stating something along the lines of, “This goes to Peso Pluma: Refrain from presenting yourself on October 14, or it will be your last show, due to your disrespect and loose mouth.” This message was allegedly sent by the Jalisco New Generation Cartel. If you didn’t know, CJNG’s biggest rival is the Sinaloa cartel. Peso Pluma’s songs were praising former Sinaloa leader El Chapo Guzman, which is most likely why CJNG sent those death threats. Peso Pluma stated, “It is our goal to protect the fans and the team.” What do you think about all of this? Thank you for reading; this is Chelsey Martinez Queen’c Signing off!

Sophia
My life’s ambition centers on promoting my platform, Use Your Voice. This program supports children and youth who have experienced or are currently facing sexual abuse, encouraging them to speak out, raise awareness, and pursue justice. My primary aim is to demonstrate that, despite enduring trauma, individuals can triumph and thrive, as I have.
I’m actively working on several achievements, including the development of a companion program for parents seeking advocacy in helping their children overcome trauma, prevent abuse, and identify signs of sexual abuse. Additionally, I’m in the process of crafting a children’s book to educate young people about sexual abuse, consent, and the importance of using their voices to help themselves and their peers.
Use Your Voice is my passion, bringing daily smiles as I share my story and empower others. It’s a reminder that children are not just our future; they are equally significant in the present moment.

Hey There, Fabulous Teens!
Homecoming is just around the corner, and it’s your time to shine like a star. We’ve got all the tips you need to make sure you’re ready to rock the dance floor and create unforgettable memories with your friends. Let’s dive in!
Froma dance, an exciting pep rally, or a packed sport game, Homecoming has been a tradition across colleges and high schools here and far. Originally a college-only event, Homecoming is a celebration where alumni would come back to visit their old school roots reminiscing on their good days of being a student and reconnecting with old friends made during their early years.
Students still in school are given a chance to honor those who came before them and remember what the returning students demonstrate such as school spirit, passion, and faithfulness to their hometown roots. Typically, an event taking place in September and October, homecoming is accompanying by many American exclusive events such as bonfires, parade, or the famous homecoming dance in which students treat as a “pre-prom.”
It’s another way for present and past students(alumni) to showcase their sensational school pride.
Hey there, fellow teens! Homecoming was an absolute blast, and I can’t wait to spill all the deets on getting ready for the big night. So, here’s how it all went down:
My first step was finding the dream dress. I wanted something that would match my style and make me feel confident. I tried on a bunch of dresses, considered trendy colors, and made sure it was comfortable. Finally, I found THE ONE!
Now Once I had my dress, it was time to accessorize. I picked out jewelry that added a touch of glamour, found shoes that matched perfectly, and a clutch that completed the look. Accessories are like the icing on the cake!
Deciding on my hairstyle and makeup was such a fun part. I went for a classic updo with a touch of sparkle in my hair. As for makeup, I experimented with a few different looks and decided on a subtle but stunning look. YouTube tutorials were a lifesaver!
My nails had to match my outfit, of course! I went for a manicure with a super cute design that complemented my dress. It felt like the cherry on top!
For transportation, I went with a bunch of friends in a party bus. We played our favorite music on the way there, and it got us all pumped up for the night.
Pre-dance photos with my friends were a must. We coordinated our outfits and found a photographer who captured our silliest and most stylish moments. These pics are pure gold!
Homecoming was all about having fun and making memories. So, I just relaxed, let loose, and soaked in every moment. It was a night to remember!
So, remember, fellow teens, homecoming is all about celebrating with friends and making unforgettable memories. Just be yourself, enjoy the ride, and shine like the star you are!

Time to start planning your Quinceañera and it’s going to be an exciting journey, and one of the most important parts is picking the perfect dress. Here’s a simple guide to help you find the dress of your dreams!
You can start early by looking for your dress at least 1 to 1.5 years in advance. This gives you plenty of time to explore different styles and try on dresses.
Talk to your parents about the budget and how much they’re willing to spend on your dress. Knowing your budget will help you narrow down your options.
Have an open mind to different dress styles, like A-line, Ballgown, Trumpet, Sheath. and choose the style that makes you feel like a princess.
Consider your body shape and what dress style flatters it best. Don’t forget to think about comfort too!
Make sure to visit different boutiques and try on dresses in different colors and styles. It’s not only about the dress but also customer service. Bring your mom or a close friend for advice.
Think about and choose your accessories wisely, like tiaras, shoes, and jewelry, that match your dress and overall theme.
You will know when you have chosen your rihgt dress. You’ll feel the “That’s the dress!” Pick the dress that makes you feel confident and beautiful. Don’t let others’ opinions sway you too much.
Remember that most dresses will need some alterations to fit perfectly. Factor this into your budget and timeline for your Official Quinceañera Portrait.
Once you’ve found the dress, order it with enough time for any necessary alterations and fittings. Before you know it your Day will be fast approaching.
Have Fun choosing your Quinceañera dress. It should be a fun and memorable experience, so enjoy every moment of it!
Remember, it’s your special day, and your dress should reflect your personality and style. Trust yourself, and you’ll shine on your Quinceañera!

“Unveiling the Filipino
When a young lady turns 18 in Filipino culture, she celebrates her debut into womanhood, symbolizing her freedom to live her own life, make her own decisions, and date. This event holds immense significance in Filipino society, often marked by elaborate and joyful celebrations. It’s a rite of passage that brings families, friends, and the community together to honor the young woman and her journey into adulthood.
The debutante, the star of the show, eagerly anticipates her debut celebration. It signifies more than just reaching a particular age; it represents a transition from adolescence to adulthood, where she gains newfound independence. Traditionally, turning 18 allows her to have a boyfriend, marking a pivotal moment in her social life.
One of the key highlights of a Filipino debut is the selection of 18 important people, both men and women, who have played significant roles in the debutante’s life. This entourage often includes family members like grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, siblings, and cousins, as well as close friends. Each member of the entourage holds a special place in the debutante’s heart, contributing to her growth and development.
The celebration begins with a solemn prayer ceremony held at the debutante’s home. It’s a moment to express gratitude for the years gone by and seek blessings for the journey ahead. The religious aspect of the event reflects the deeprooted spirituality and cultural values in Filipino society.
As the big day approaches, meticulous preparations are made. The debutante carefully selects a stunning gown and a modest tiara for herself. The 18 ladies in her entourage also pick dresses that complement the debutante’s attire, while the men don traditional Barong Tagalog attire, a symbol of Filipino pride.
The actual celebration typically commences with the enchanting Rose Dance. In this heartwarming tradition, each gentleman presents the debutante with a rose, a symbol of love and admiration. The 18th rose, a poignant gesture, is usually offered by her father, signifying his enduring love and support.
Following the Rose Dance, the Candle Ceremony takes center stage. Here, each lady from the entourage lights a candle and conveys a heartfelt wish for the debutante’s future. It’s a touching moment that showcases the unity and affection among those present. Additionally, the debutante may receive special gifts, such as 18 blue pesos and 18 yellow pesos, each carrying its own meaning and significance. The celebration culminates with a joyous toast, raising glasses to the debutante’s happiness and prosperity.
To conclude the evening, the entourage comes together for a special waltz, symbolizing unity and harmony. It’s a moment of shared joy and connection before the party opens up for dancing and merriment, creating memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.
In essence, a Filipino debut is not merely a birthday celebration but a profound cultural tradition that honors the transition from girlhood to womanhood, emphasizing family bonds, friendship, and faith. It’s a day when dreams are celebrated, and the future is embraced with hope and optimism.
