Department ď‚— A department is a division of a large organization such as
a government, or university, dealing with a specific area of study or work. ď‚— Particular functional area within an organization or a division, such as accounting, marketing, planning.
Professor Terms of Office Subject to the powers of the Faculty and the Academic Board,
a Professor should have the following authority: Working all the way up and down the halls of faculty office building, checking out the office-hour schedules posted below the nameplates, and observing the work and leisure habits of the specimens through half-opened doors Conserving tolerable standards of teaching and any other academic work;
Administering for examinations to students; Liaising with the Dean of the Faculty in matters
stirring the Department; Assembling meetings of the Department for purposes of planning and checking out activities of the Department; Providing leadership, maintaining and building up efficiency and good order in the Department in conformity with the policies and operations of the University;

APPOINTMENT OF DEAN ď‚— A Faculty is en route by a Dean who is appointed amidst
the Academic Senior members of the Faculty who are Professors in accordance with the provisions of Schedule E of the University Statutes.
TERM OF OFFICE ď‚— The term of office of a Dean is two years subject to re-
balloting and re-appointment for another term of two years for a Professor and one year subject to re-election and re-polling for another term of one year for other lower categories Senior Members (Academic).
