The Tao Te Chin is not particularly well known perhaps but it is the has the second highest number of books ever published. It was written about 2,500 years ago by a Chinese wise man, Lao Tsu. So why is this book being presented in a new age / spiritualism forum? Because its ideas are so open, flowing, mystical and universal, so much so that connections to such genres as new age or spiritualism are indeed a small step away. In fact, I used to use this book as a kind of I Ching oracle, where I would think of a problem or personal issue, or simply request new inspiration about the state of my current life, and then randomly open The Tao Te Ching to a given page. Time and time again, its “viewpoint” seemed like near perfect advice. At any rate, all seekers of light, whether new age or spiritualist, will find here a spiritual path of truths that emphasizes the unity, beauty and gentleness (love) in all life, and in an eternal life at that.
