Ci siamo dati un tema, che è quello della casa in città. Ad esso abbiamo associato la riflessione su quanto e come la norma possa influire sul progetto e quindi sulla forma. Abbiamo scelto Lipsia per “affinità elettive” e perchè ci è parso interessante il confronto con una dimensione architettonica e normativa che presentasse difformità con quello italiano. Abbiamo cercato, all’interno del territorio urbano di Lipsia, un lotto libero che non appartenesse a zone periferiche nè si inserisse nel tessuto urbano consolidato della città storica. We gave ourselves a theme, which is the house in the city. To this we have associated the reflection on how much and how the norm can influence the project and therefore the form. We chose Leipzig for “elective affinities” and because it seemed interesting to us to compare it with an architectural and normative dimension that presented differences with the Italian one. We searched, within the urban territory of Leipzig, a vacant lot that did not belong to peripheral areas nor’s insertion in consolidated urban fabric of the historical city.

Il progetto consiste quindi in una abitazione. In merito a ciò abbiamo ritenuto interessante e più confacente allo spirito del nostro tempo l’idea di una casa modesta: non nelle fattezze o nella qualità costruttiva, bensì proprio nella sua genesi. Una casa che non si pavoneggiasse nè ammiccasse. Una casa, invece, che potesse introdursi nella scenografia che l’avrebbe accolta senza clamori, con armonia. Una casa pensata per rendere gli spazi abitativi confortevoli, intelligenti e gradevoli. Una casa che dialogasse con l’esterno ma rivelasse anche un lato più introverso. Abbiamo avuto la possibilità di prendere come riferimento delle richieste reali, di committenti davvero esistenti, il che ci ha permesso di pensare a delle esigenze, delle dimensioni che non fossero frutto della nostra immaginazione. È nata una casa per una coppia più uno, che in aggiunta ai tipici spazi domestici deputati alle attività mangiare-riposarsi-svagarsi, chiedevano uno spazio verde da raggiungere facilmente, uno spazio-laboratorio separato dalla casa vera e propria, un luogo facilmente accessibile ma distante il più possibile per i mastelli della raccolta differenziata, una biblioteca e un ricovero per animali domestici collegato allo spazio abitativo. Il lotto 1042, cui corrisponde l’indirizzo di Kuchengartenstraße 10-12, per due lati confina con delle proprietà private, mentre gli altri due si affacciano su Kuchengartenstr. uno (strada pedonale), su Gabelsbergerstr. l’altro (strada carrabile). Presenta una forma di trapezio irregolare, con un’area di 425 m2 e attualmente la superficie ospita una serie di alberi ad alto fusto.
The project therefore consists of a dwelling. With regard to this we have considered the idea of a modest housevinteresting and more suited to the spirit of our time: not in its features or in its constructive quality, but rather in its genesis. A house that did not strut or wink. A house, instead, that could introduce itself in the scenography that would have received her without clamor, with harmony. A house designed to make living spaces comfortable, intelligent and pleasant. A house that converses with the outside but also reveals a more introverted side. We had the opportunity to take as a reference the real requests, of truly existing clients, which allowed us to think about needs and dimensions that were not the result of our imagination. A house was born for a couple plus one, who in addition to the typical domestic spaces dedicated to eating-resting-leisure activities, asked for a green space to be easily reached, a laboratory space separated from the real home, an easily accessible place distant as far as possible for the separate collection tanks, a library and a pet shelter connected to the living space. Lot 1042, which corresponds to the address of Kuchengartenstraße 10-12, borders on two sides private properties, while the other two overlook Kuchengartenstr. one (pedestrian street), on Gabelsbergerstr. the other (driveway). It has an irregular trapezium shape, with an area of 425 m2 and currently the surface hosts a series of tall trees.

Il progetto consiste nella pianificazione di un nuovo insediamento in una zona periferica della città di Bari. Lo scopo è quello di rendere il quartiere autonomo, pur connettendolo efficacemente con il resto della città . Per questo motivo abbiamo progettato tutti i servizi necessari ai cittadini, dai parcheggi di scambio agli spazi pubblici, dalle scuole alle strutture sportive. Gli insediamenti abitativi sono caratterizzati da criteri di progettazione sostenibile, con una particolare attenzione alle soluzioni tecnologiche e al rapporto con il contesto.

The project consists of planning a new settlement in a suburb of the city of Bari. The aim is to make the neighborhood independent, while effectively connecting it with the rest of the city. For this reason we have designed all the services necessary for citizens, from exchange parking spaces to public spaces, from schools to sports facilities. Housing settlements are characterized by sustainable design criteria, with particular attention to technological solutions and to the relationship with the context.

Il progetto personale di un teatro si inserisce nel progetto di gruppo relativo alla riqualificazione dell’area della ex-caserma Rossani di Bari. L’architettura disegnata si basa sull’idea scultorea di tagli su un solido, dando vita a un oggetto stereometrico. massivo. Lo stesso principio compositivo si ripete all’interno, dove la definizione degli spazi ha origine dalla sottrazione di materia. Le grandi vetrate rendono permeabili gli ambienti rivolti verso le zone pedonali circostanti. La torre scenica è una scatola irregolare di vetro industriale, che la sera si accende come una grande lanterna. The personal project of a theater is part of the group project relating to the regeneration of the area of ex-caserma Rossani in Bari. The architecture designed is based on the sculptural idea of cuts on a solid, giving life to a stereometric, massive object. The same compositional principle is repeated inside, where the definition of the spaces originates from the subtraction of matter. The large windows make the rooms facing the surrounding pedestrian areas permeable. The scenic tower is an irregular box of industrial glass, which in the evening lights up like a big lantern.

Il montaggio della facciata avviene in tre fasi. Non è propriamente una facciata a cellule, ma nemmeno una semplice facciata a montanti e traversi. il sistema SFC della Schüco permette di creare una sottostruttura intelaiata in montanti e traversi in alluminio, sulla quale vengono poi ancorati i diversi moduli di facciata. Il sistema si adatta particolarmente bene alle nostre necessità progettuali, in quanto consente in primo luogo la realizzazione delle pareti sui traversi fissi e in seguito l’assemblaggio dei moduli di finitura dell’involucro. The façade is assembled in three phases. It is not really a cellular façade, but not even a simple facade with mullions and transoms. the Schüco SFC system allows to create a substructure framed in aluminum uprights and crosspieces, on which are then anchored the different facade modules. The system is particularly well suited to our design needs, as it allows first of all the construction of the walls on the fixed crosspieces and then the assembly of the finishing modules of the casing.

L’ex carcere maschile di Perugia è stato un luogo di costrizione e reclusione. Per dare un nuovo senso all’edificio è necessario cancellare il tetro ideogramma carcerario, trasformarlo in un segno giocoso, sereno, innocuo e riconoscibile: come nel disegno del corpo umano tracciato dai bambini. Saranno perciò demolite ampie porzioni del fabbricato che risale alla seconda metà dell’Ottocento e che non ha particolari qualità architettoniche. L’intento di conservare la conformazione originaria dell’edificio dell’ex carcere, nonostante fosse limitata la compatibilità con le destinazioni di carattere collettivo, si adegua agli spazi di lavoro caratterizzati dalla successione delle ex celle, trasformate in unità operative e funzionali di dimensioni differenti e tra loro sommabili. L’intero edificio è pensato come una struttura permeabile alle attività di tipo culturale, di svago, formative o commerciali.
Former men’s prison in Perugia was a place of imprisonment and coercion. To give the building a new meaning, it is necessary to cancel the gloomy prison ideogram, transform it into a playful, serene, harmless and recognizable sign: as in the design of the human body traced by the children. Therefore, large portions of the building will be demolished which dates back to the second half of the nineteenth century and has no particular architectural qualities. The intent to preserve the original conformation of the building of the former prison, despite limited compatibility with the destinations of a collective nature, adapts to the work spaces characterized by the succession of former cells, transformed into operative and functional units of different sizes that can be summarized. The entire building is designed as a structure permeable to cultural, leisure, educational or commercial activities.

Il lavoro svolto durante i corsi di Composizione architettonica e Disegno architettonico si fondano su un principio: il disegno (digitale e a mano libera) è strumento fondamentale non solo per esprimere le intenzioni progettuali, ma anche nella comprensione degli esempi architettonici. Dunque esso costituisce uno strumento formativo, non attraverso il mero ricalco dei progetti presi a modello, piuttosto con un atto consapevole e ragionato. Il laboratorio ha dato luogo a una intensa produzione di modelli ed elaborati, che grazie a una stessa formattazione hanno permesso di cogliere meglio le peculiarità di ogni progetto presentato. Si sono susseguite lezioni di ospiti di rilievo, ogni volta legati in qualche modo al tema d’anno, i quali hanno contribuito al periodo formativo degli studenti. The work done during the courses of Architectural Composition and Architectural Drawing are based on a principle: drawing (digital and freehand) is a fundamental tool not only for expressing design intentions, but also for understanding architectural examples. Therefore it constitutes a training tool, not through the mere repetition of the projects taken as a model, rather with a conscious and reasoned act. The laboratory has given rise to an intense production of models and drawings, which thanks to the same formatting have allowed us to better grasp the peculiarities of each project presented. There were lessons of important guests, each time linked in some way to the theme of the year, who contributed to the formative period of the students.
