The RM of Ste. Anne has another exciting year planned with a variety of projects slated to take place across the Municipality.

Recreation and healthy living options continue to be a priority for the Municipality. This year we are planning to install a new play structure in Thurston Park, as well as build a boat launch into the Seine River near Finnigan Road. The Giroux ice rink will be getting new boards and lights installed before next winter. We will also be planning a grand opening celebration for the completed Giroux Park! More information on this will be coming soon.

In keeping with the RM’s commitment to green initiatives and sustain- able living, we are also going to be launching a pilot recycling program for RM businesses, as they are not currently covered through the residential program.

Additionally, the 2023 Community Clean Up has been planned for May 13th and 14th and we look forward to a great turnout in the spirit of keeping our community clean!

The Municipality will be hosting the Association of Manitoba Municipalities (AMM) Eastern District meeting in June. These meetings are opportunities for Municipalities in the same geographical area to discuss similar concerns, and make the AMM aware of these issues so that it can advocate to the province. Hosting this meeting is also a great opportunity for elected officials and others to be exposed to all that the RM of Ste. Anne has to offer.

In partnership with the Manitoba Water Services Board, the RM will be engaging in a wastewater feasibility study. The objective of this study is to look at alternatives to tanks and septic fields, and determine what may be best for certain areas of the RM given the increase in numbers of homes and businesses.

2023 is going to be an exciting year with a lot planned!

LUD of Richer Committee Meetings are held in the LUD Hall at 136 Dawson Road in the town of Richer.
