DC Ranch welcomes a new security provider. Allied Barton, a highly regarded company with a national presence, assumed security operations from Trident in mid-December. The selection of Allied Barton followed an extensive vetting process involving multiple vendors. The selection process— which was managed by the Ranch Association’s Safety and Security subcommittee—concluded with detailed presentations from four finalists to board members, senior Association staff and residents. Each finalist was asked to address the Association’s key goals of improving customer service and reducing guard turnover. Allied Barton received the contract based on its professionalism, reputation, job-retention incentive program and competitive pricing. In addition to retaining many of our current guards, Allied

Barton plans to move some of its more tenured security professionals to DC Ranch and attract other qualified personnel through higher pay, improved benefits and a rewards system. New uniforms and an additional patrol vehicle are also included in the agreement. With an expected staff of 37, including a security manager and three shift supervisors, Allied Barton will provide neighborhood patrols and round-the-clock security for the five manned gates.

his new year residents will see familiar faces return as NVMs for many neighborhoods. The Ranch Association is also pleased to welcome several new volunteers. These residents are your direct liaisons to the Ranch Association board and management. They are responsible for selecting board members in the annual election to be held this April. They assist with community operations and help develop ways to improve the quality of life for the neighbors and friends they represent.Be sure to reach out and say hello.
