RIVISA® is the first Spanish manufacturer and installer of Perimeter Protection Systems and one of the main European manufacturers. We design, manufacture and install fences and gates for all types of facilities that require physical perimeter protection.

RIVISA® is the continuation of a family business tradition that began in 1854 when Francisco Rivière Bonneton introduced single-twisted wire mesh to Spain from England.

The RIVISA® production centre has facilities measuring over 50,000 m2, where it has modern machinery and production lines for the manufacture of electro-welded mesh, robotised gratings, single-twist gratings, machinery for cold profiling of tubes and its own modern painting facility where the exclusive RIVISA® Protecline ® , RIVISA® Protecline ® Plus and RIVISA® Protecline ® Triple anti-corrosion coating systems are applied.

-QUV tests simulate resistance to deterioration due to sunlight, humidity and temperature.

All RIVISA ® products comply with European standards.

RIVISA ® is able to issue a “Guarantee Certificate” for the quality and mechanical stability of its perimeter protection systems. The guarantee covers all fencing components and is applicable under the following conditions:

Coating systems

RIVISA® uses galvanised materials and has developed exclusive anti-corrosion coating systems that are pioneers in the development and application of the most modern technologies to prevent corrosion. These and other research projects are the result of continuous investment in R&D and the work carried out by the engineers and technicians who form part of the RIVISA® team.

*The Interpon Redox Plus + Interpon Redox PZ system is used in very aggressive environments. The three-layer system consists of a zinc-rich primer (Redox Plus AL251F/AL258F), a barrier effect primer (Redox PZALZ90F) and a highly durable polyester plasticised finish.

This coating provides a high degree of protection against corrosion.

STRAIGHT SECTION

The end posts are installed at the beginning and the end of the fence, the mid posts every 3m and the tension posts every 30m of straight section. In hard or highly compacted soil the foundation may be optionally substituted by an anchoring system that is mechanically driven into the soil, the post being less than or greater than the useful height of the fence.

STEPPED SECTION

On the steps, install the longest post (normal length + step height) on the lower part of the fence and clamp the mesh to the upper and lower sections of the mesh. Install twice the number of brackets for the tension wires and struts on the post.

SLOPED SECTION

On the level changes of the fence (in other words, when the gradient of the slope changes), install a straight tension post. The posts on the slanted sections of the fence must be vertically levelled, so that they are oblique to the direction of the tension wires (parallel to the ground) and to the mesh.

Assembly manual

1 Mark the line of the pen with a rope. Cement the posts, with the rack facing outwards, starting with the ends, the tension posts and finally the intermediate posts.

2 Lay the net on the outside of the floor.

3 Connect the necessary rolls of mesh to complete the entire section.

4 Staple the mesh to the end post by inserting the ends of the clamp with the clamp into the holes in the zip tie and closing to tighten. Repeat the process.

5 Stretch and tension the mesh, stapling it to the nearest tensioning post.

6 Pass the 3 rows of yarn between the meshes from one tensioning post to the next and tighten them, starting with the bottom row.

7 Tension the wires between each pair of tension poles, starting with the bottom row.

8 Staple the wire strands to the intermediate posts and the fabric strands to the tensioning posts.

Technical features

POST AND ACCESORIES

• Lux 50 or Lux 80 type-post depending on heights, provided with longitudinal rack for fixing accessories and the necessary clamps to bear the tension of meshes. Low-carbon sheet, in accordance with the EN-10346 standard. Pull strength of 300 to 400 N/mm 2

• Accessories coupled to the rack by anchoring screw

• Polypropylene top which is resistant to atmospheric agents

• Galvanised, reinforced wire staple, anchored vertically to the rack to prevent it from slipping lengthways

Doors and bayonet extension

Place an angle tension post wherever the fence changes direction, and position a corner tension post without a bayonet.

Assembly manual

1 Mark the line of the enclosure with the help of a rope. Lay the foundation posts, with the rack facing outwards, starting with the ends, the tension posts and finally the intermediate posts.

2 Spread the mesh on the outside of the ground.

4 Tension the wires between each pair of tension posts, starting with the bottom row.

5 Tension the cables between each pair of tensioning posts, starting with the bottom row.

3 Staple the mesh to the end post by inserting the ends of the pliers with a clamp into the holes of the zip and closing to tighten. Repeat the operation.

6 Stretch and tension the mesh by stapling it to the nearest tension post.

POSTS AND ACCESSORIES

• Lux 50 or Lux 80 type-post depending on heights, provided with longitudinal rack for fixing accessories and the necessary BRACKETS to bear the tension of meshes. Low-carbon sheet, in accordance with the EN-10142 standard. Pull strength of 300 to 500 N/mm 2

• Polypropylene cap which is resistant to atmospheric agents.

• Galvanised, reinforced wire staple, anchored vertically to the rack to prevent it from slipping lengthways.

KNOTTED MESH

• A reliable, economical mesh for enclosing large spaces, made of rectangular knotted mesh, wire with triple-galvanised protection (240gr Zn/m2), upper and lower diameter of 2.40mm and the rest of the wire has a diameter of 1.90mm. Variable distances between the vertical wires (see table of characteristics).

STRAIGHT SECTION

The end posts are installed at the beginning and the end of the fence, the mid posts every 6m and the tension posts every 56m of straight section. In hard or highly compacted soil the foundation may be optionally substituted by an anchoring system that is mechanically driven into the soil, the post being less than or greater than the useful height of the fence.

STEPPED SECTION

On the steps, install the longest post (normal length + step height) on the lower part of the fence and clamp the mesh to the upper and lower sections of the mesh. Install twice the number of brackets for the tension wires and struts on the post.

SLOPED SECTION

Wherever the fence changes level (i.e., where the slope gradient changes), install a straight tension post. The posts on the slanted sections of the fence must be vertically levelled, so that they are oblique to the direction of the tension wires (parallel to the ground) and to the mesh.

6 Repeat as many times as necessary.

7 If anchoring with a base plate instead of a foundation, screw the base and insert the first post. Hang the panel and insert the next post.

Assembly manual

Preparing the ground

Step 1

Mark the line of the enclosure with the help of a rope. Drill the holes for the foundation of the posts at the distance marked by the centre line.

Post and clamp assembly

Step 3

Mount the metal clamp on the post (4 pcs. per intermediate post and 2 pcs. per end post).

Frame and end section assembly

Step 5

Install the second post following the same steps, and repeat the operation as many times as necessary.

Step 2

Cement the first post and plumb it with the help of a level.

Step 4

Position the frame, making sure that it is securely fastened inside the clamps.

* Install the wild card accessory on the frame and bolt the assembly to the post clamp.

Step 6

Measure the wheelbase. Subtract 85mm from the resulting measurement and cut the frame to this measurement (C).

Mount the metal clamp on the post (4 pcs. per intermediate post and 2 pcs. per end post).

Frame and end section assembly

Cement the next post and fit the panel into the clamps. Screw the 4 clamps to the frame.

Step 2

Cement the first post and plumb it with the help of a level.

Step 4

Position the frame, making sure that it is securely fastened inside the clamps.

Step 6

Repeat the operation as many times as necessary. If base plate anchoring has been used instead of foundation anchoring, screw the base and insert the first post. Hook the panel and insert the next post.

Assembly manual

Preparing the ground

Step 1

Mark the line of the enclosure with the help of a rope. Drill the holes for the foundation of the posts at the distance marked by the centre line.

Post and clamp assembly

Step 3

Mount the metal clamp on the post (4 pcs. per intermediate post and 2 pcs. per end post).

Frame and end section assembly

Step 5

Cement the next post and fit the panel into the clamps. Screw the 4 clamps to the frame.

Step 2

Cement the first post and plumb it with the help of a level.

Step 4

Position the frame, making sure that it is securely fastened inside the clamps

Step 6

Repeat the operation as many times as necessary.

If base plate anchoring has been used instead of foundation anchoring, screw the base and insert the first post. Hook the panel and insert the next post.

Preparing the ground

Step 1

Mark the line of the enclosure with the help of a rope. Drill the holes for the foundation of the posts at the distance marked by the centre line.

Step 2

Lay the first post on the foundation and plumb it with the help of a level.

Mount the metal clamp on the post (4 pcs. per intermediate post and 2 pcs. per end post).

Frame and end section assembly

Step 5

Put the next post in the foundation and fit the panel into the brackets. Screw the 4 brackets to the frame.

Step 4

Position the frame, ensuring that it is securely fastened inside the brackets.

Step 6

Repeat as many times as necessary. If base plate anchoring has been used instead of foundation anchoring, screw on the base and insert the first post. Hook in the panel and insert the next post.

Enclosure built with 100x4 diameter poles and chain link 50/16 mail. Intermediate poles are placed every 2m 50. Six lines of No.16 tightening wire should be also installed.

Assembling options

There are several ways of installing the enclosure, adding complementary elements that will increase the efficacy and protection of the system.

OPTION 1. ASSEMBLING CONCERTINA

Concertina is the perfect complement for security perimeter protection. It dissuades any trespassing attempt. Rivisa recommends using the Harpoon-type concertina, with a diameter of 600x50mm, finished in galvanised stainless steel. Different combinations are available.

CONCERTINA FEATURES

Reinforced stainless steel blades are a very aggressive product. The blades are designed in order to improve the anchoring effect in situations where a maximum security is needed.

ASSEMBLING CONCERTINA ON A CONCRETE WALL

A concrete wall may be added to the High Security System. A double concertina can be installed to increase the security.

OPTION 2: ANTI-CLIMB MESH

ANTI-CLIMB MESH

The anti-climb mesh is a perfect complement for this system. It prevents intruders from introducing their feet or fingers through the chain-link mesh. In penitentiaries, it is recommended to install an anti-climb mesh measuring 10x10x0.8mm. In correctional facilities, it is recommended to install an anti-climb mesh measuring 6x6x0.8mm.

• The reducing motor of the gate complies with the UNE EN 60335-2-103:2003 regulation

• Safety devices are included for protection against crushing, shear and dragging during the normal operation of the sliding motorised doors. There is also protection against crushing in the event of failure of the automatic features or electrical supply, providing “justification of design”, tested in line with UNE EN 12453, UNE EN 12445 and UNE EN 12978 as included in the aforementioned guidelines.

• Each gate will include remote control with a properly equipped manoeuvre control panel and feature an IP65 outdoor rating, allowing remote start-and-stop operation of each gate leaf independently. It is also possible to supply a set of limit switches that can announce the status (closing/opening) of every leaf associated with the sliding gates independently.

• The opening and closing manoeuvres will both be achievable (in the case of motorised gates) by means of two possible control methods:

1. Semi-automatic control: This is initiated when a person issues the command via a button. The gate will under no circumstances be able to close automatically.

PORTABLE FENCE DOOR

This is a portable door that can be set up anywhere in the fence, and therefore it’s as versatile as the fence itself. The door can be fixed to any frame of our fences through the standard hinges.

Security support post used to increase stability along with an adjustable clamp.

SECURITY BRACKET

The frames of the fences can be secured together with the security bracket and a security screw. A security support post is optional.

Extreme-height closure with polyamide mesh

POLYAMIDE MESH: Reinforced polyamide high-tenacity mesh, manufactured with twisted polyamide, and reinforced by perimeter lines. Available mesh measures: 25x25 (golf), 33x33

(tennis) and 100x100 (football). The diameter of the plaited thread is 3mm, the breaking load is 50Kg and the melting point is 250 º . Available colours: white or green.

The end posts are installed at the beginning and the end of the fence, the mid posts every 6 metres and the tension posts every 30 metres per straight section.

The end and the tension posts will have guy-ropes installed with wires and crossbars, in order to improve the rigidity of the fence (see detail in diagram)

Railings

The railing can be used to separate the pitch area from the spectator area; it also provides an elegant and functional passage area with the addition of a revolving door.

RAILING

WITHOUT PADDING:

The main applications are football pitches, athletics tracks, horse riding tracks, multi-sports areas, etc.

60mm diameter galvanised steel tube and aluminium fittings for on-site assembly without welding. The HEIGHT of the railing from the ground is 1m 10 (recessed into the ground by 40cm) and the distance between vertical uprights is 2m70.

RAILING

WITH PADDING:

In the case of railings filled with a 6/5/6 double-thread panel, the HEIGHT of the railing from the ground is 1m 15 (recessed into the ground by 40cm) and the distance between vertical posts is 2m 61.

The Double Thread infill guardrail panels are fixed to the vertical posts with metal clamps.
