AlumniHOLLY HUDSON
Since graduating the College in 2021, Holly Hudson, has made some impressive contributions to the community to assist the homeless and other young vulnerable people. As part of a family that experienced housing insecurity in her past, Holly has used her lived experience and passion as motivation for creating change.
Holly was a frontline voice for homeless youths to aid in the development and media launch of the Queensland Government’s Towards Ending Homelessness for Young Queenslanders strategy.
Lending her time to several other community organisations and charities, including the QFCC, Bravehearts, the ANCHDA, participation with advisory councils and youth parliament, Holly has also been involved with the local Junior Chamber of Commerce. During this tenure, she founded the Beenleigh Beats community event which was part of an initiative to introduce local talent into the community.
In the midst of a double degree in Business and Justice, Holly has a QUT scholarship that will help advance her social enterprise centred on sexual consent and reproductive health education. Her goal is to gather a team of expert practitioners who will work together to deliver educational content.
As Rivermount College Captain in 2021, Dramatist of the Year, and a Beenleigh Yatala Chamber of Commerce executive team member, Holly demonstrated plenty of future potential. We are proud of her amazing journey and passion for working towards making the community a great place.
