Recently, I reported on developments with the Greyhounds SA Strategic Plan and the possible effect it may have on country clubs, including our own Riverland Greyhound Racing Club at Barmera. This is the club that a prominent identity in the industry said during a visit recently “had the best facilities outside of headquarters at Angle Park”. Angle Park, by the way, is the place where on my last attendance my punting was not going very well, so I amused myself playing ‘count the crowd’. It did not take me long. In my last article, I mentioned that an aim of the Strategic Plan was to make the industry a better place and more enjoyable for everyone involved in it. ■ Continued Page 32
