Juliana ‘Julie’ Bellodi Arruda Julie is the daughter of Lincoln and Isabel Arruda whose host parents are Patrick and Theresa St. Hilaire. Julie’s activities while in Washtucna included serving as class treasurer, earning a FFA Chapter Degree, FFA Food Science/Tech Team member, volleyball, basketball and tennis. Julie will return to Brazil and complete her education after graduation.

Jacob Dwayne Blankenship Jacob is the son of Cathy Blankenship and Scott Blankenship. His activities included high school track, high school football, band, SEWMEA Honor Band, Southeast Washington Marching Band, SEWMEA Honor Jazz Band, All-State Wind Symphony 2010, member of Washtucna Community Church and the Washtucna FFA Chapter. Jacob plans to major in business administration at Eastern Washington University and continue gaining experience on the farm in the summer working for Blankenship Brothers Joint Venture.

Corbin Kurtis Harder Corbin is the son of Kurt Harder and Tabitha Harder. While in high school, Corbin has been Associated Student Body president, class president, earned an academic letter, placed fourth in state FFA job interview event and received the FFA District 9 Star Award. Corbin plans to attend Eastern Washington University to pursue a career in political science.

Amber Dawn Kiesz

Max Dane Hille Max is the son of Gerilynn Loomis and Lon Hille. During high school, Max has been involved in the Washtucna FFA Chapter, served as class vice president, earned an FAA Student Pilot License and is a 13-year senior at Washtucna. After graduation, Max plans to attend Big Bend Community College for the commercial aviation program.

Camilla ‘Millie’ Schorn Millie, an exchange student from Germany, is the daughter of Erich and Ines Schorn whose host parents are Patrick and Theresa St. Hilaire. During her year in Washtucna, Millie has served as class secretary, earned an FFA Chapter Degree and was a Washtucna FFA Chapter member as well as participated in volleyball, cheerleading and track. Upon graduation, Millie will return to Germany and complete her education.

Amber is the daughter of Catherine Goude and Paul Goude. Her activities included varsity girls’ basketball, varsity cheerleading, leadership camps, Associated Student Body officer, Washtucna FFA officer and dance. Amber plans to attend Whatcom Community College in Bellingham and transfer to a university after earning an associate’s degree.

Amber Leanne Smith Amber is the daughter of Scott Smith and Carisha Smith. Her high school activities included organizing 2011 Prom Week, serving as class recorder and Washtucna FFA Chapter member. Amber will continue her education at Char Glo Hair Design in Moses Lake.

Alexis Anne Fowles Alexis is the daughter of Heather Ann Fowles and Dwayne Charles Fowles. She has participated in volleyball and softball for four years, National Honor Society vice-president and treasurer, Associated Student Body treasurer and president, Kennel Club and Lind FFA Chapter. Alexis plans to attend Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, majoring in psychology for a career as a substance abuse counselor.

Traven Aero Smith Traven is the son of Michelle Ann Fode-Smith and Timothy Allen Smith. His activities included playing football, basketball and baseball all four years, Lind FFA Chapter, Kennel Club, class officer all four years, honor society member since his sophomore year and an Associated Student Body officer the last two years. Traven will attend Washington State University where he will major in agricultural technology and production management. After college, he plans to return to the family farm.

Saige Gayle Shelli Casady Saige is the daughter of Annette Kaye Casady. Her activities included drama, Lind FFA Chapter, class officer for two years, drama, Associated Student Body representative, drama treasurer, competing in several Career Development Events at state FFA and organizing TLC4Troops her junior and senior years. Saige plans to become a nurse. To achieve her ultimate goal, she hopes to enlist in the U.S. Air Force or U.S. Army.

Jessica Marie Hernandez Jessica is the daughter of Mary Hernandez and Alfonso Hernandez. Her activities included softball and volleyball for four years, drama club for three years, cheerleading for two years, wrestling manager for a year, National Honor Society member, Kennel Club, Lind FFA Chapter member, Lind FFA Chapter chaplain, senior class secretary, junior class president, drama club president and freshman class president. Jessica plans to attend Big Bend Community College for two years while playing softball and then enroll into the nursing program for a degree.

Zach is the son of Adrianne Ellis. His activities included football for there years, track and field for two years, Kennel Club for four years and band for four years. Zack will attend Spokane Falls Community College in graphic design, then transfer into AI or Eastern Washington University to finish with a degree in graphic design.

Brandon is the son of Trena Irene Gimmaka and David Harry Gimmaka. During high school, he participated in football. Brandon plans to attend school and become a welder.

Miriam Longoria

Chyla Marie

Miriam is the daughter of Rosalba Longoria and Felix Longoria. During high school, she was drama class president, Lind FFA Chapter secretary 2010-2011, Kennel Club 2008-2011, senior class president, drama class vice president, junior class secretary, sophomore class secretary and Associated Student Body runner-up for president, SLP migrant student representative for the state 2009-2010 and she earned a blackbelt in 2009. Miriam plans to attend Columbia Basin College and graduate with a degree with an X-ray technician certification.

Miriam is the daughter of Rosalba Longoria and Chyla is the daughter of Talana Marie Schwartz and John Edward Schwartz. Her activities included drama and helping with numerous class fundraisiers. Upon graduation, Chyla will attend Spokane Falls Community College for two years, then transfer to the University of Montana where she plans to major in English and possibly education.

Ivy Shipley

Jerry is the son of Christina Schuler and Gerry Schuler. He is a five-year member of the Lind FFA Chapter, was enrolled in Running Start for two years, served as an FFA officer for three years, Kennel Club member and honor society member. Jerry plans to earn a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineer at Washington State University for a career in wind power.

Ivy is the daughter of Reta Shipley. Her high school career has included sports in her freshman and sophomore years, Lind FFA Chapter member for four years, serving as reporter, chaplain and historian in FFA, competing in FFA agronomy, livestock, potato judging, farm business management and ag issues and Kennel Club member. Ivy plans to attend Washington State University where she will major in crop and soil sciences for a career as an agronomist.

Israel Valdovinos Israel is the son of Lucia Rangel and Jose Valdovinos. He has played football and baseball all four years of high school, three years on the basketball team, Kennel Club member for four years, Kennel Club vice president, Lind FFA Chapter member for one year, twoyear band member and a class officer for four years. Israel plans to attend Walla Walla Community College where he will enroll in the health and fitness program. After two years, he plans to transfer to Washington State University for a degree in health and fitness.

James Hunter Coon Hunter is the son of Colleen Coon and Fritz Coon. He was involved in track and field, honor society, helped with wrestling, Ritzville FFA Chapter, pep band, Pep Club and Red R. He plans to attend college after graduation.

Heather Renee Whitmore Heather is the daughter of Karen Whitmore and Greg Whitmore. Her high school tenure has included four years of volleyball, basketball and track participant, Associated Student Body secretary, National Honor Society vice president, tutor, Math Is Cool student professor, LindRitzville Youth Basketball Camp instructor, lifeguard, AAUW (American Association of University Women) Scholars recognition, math and science award winner and National Honor Society Inland Northwest Blood Drive student manager. Heather plans to attend Central Washington University and obtain a degree in elementary education. In addition, she hopes to join the Peace Corps and serve as a teacher in a foreign country for several years.

Brittanie is the daughter of Paula Michelle Gardner and David Charles McCormick. During her high school tenure, Brittanie was involved with the Pep Club, Red R, pep band, honor band, cheerleading and Future Business Leaders of America. After graduation, Brittanie plans to attend Spokane Community College for a year and move to western Washington and continue her education at a school with a good audio production program.

Dillon Matthew Banner Dillon is the son of Hollie L. Banner and William C. Banner. He was involved with Boy Scouts, participated in drama and is known for his unicycle talent along with other funny talents. Dillon plans to become a firefighter.

Johnathan is the son of Christina Carter and Bryan Carter. During his high school tenure, Johnathan was involved in the Ritzville FFA Chapter. Johnathan plans to work at the naval shipyard in Bremerton after graduation.

Tamires’ host parents are Rebecca Colbert and Adam Colbert. During her year as an exchange student from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Tamires was involved in Pep Club, was voted prom queen and played basketball. She plans to return to America next year and study biomedicine.

Jakob is the son of Melva Eichner and Steve Eichner. During high school, he was an honor roll student for four years, varsity football for four years, varsity football co-captain for two years, football all-opponent member on the second team for three years, all-state football team alternate in his senior year, varsity basketball for four years, varsity basketball co-captain his senior year, basketball all-opponent second team for two years, varsity track for three years, state track participant for three years, Ritzville FFA Chapter ofďŹ cer for one year and state FFA participant for four years. Jakob plans to attend the University of Idaho where he will study pre-medicine for a career in sports medicine.

Shane is the son of Marci Culton and Ronald Ferderer. Shane was an active member of Pep Club and track during high school. After graduation, Shane plans to join the U.S. Air Force.

Adam is the son of Theresa Fitch and Scott Fitch. He was the Associated Student Body treasurer and participated in track, band, pep band, marching band and Math is Cool while in high school. Adam plans to attend Western Washington University after graduation.

She is the daughter of Lois Gust and Randy Gust. Lauren will attend Washington State University for two years when she will enroll in the intercollegiate school of nursing at WSU Spokane to earn a degree in nursing and become a registered nurse.

Miguel is the son of Maria Hayes. His high school activities included football, wrestling, track, baseball, Ritzville FFA and band. Miguel plans to attend the University of Idaho and pursue a degree in business.

Bryce is the son of Brenda Hilzer and Kevin Heaton. During his high school tenure, Bryce was active in baseball, basketball and football. He will attend Spokane Community College to play baseball after graduation.

James Martin Hubbard Ashlee Renae Hummel James is the son of Kathy Hubbard and Timothy Hubbard. He was involved with football, pep band and Red R while in high school. After graduation, James plans to move to Spokane and work before enrolling at a community college in 2012 followed by continued education at Eastern Washington University. He hopes to try out for the Spokane Shock football team.

He hopes to eventually attend a university and obtain a degree in psychology.

Cameron is the son of Michele Kiesz and Randy Kiesz. Cameron has been involved in wrestling, football, track, baseball, Ritzville FFA, Red R, Pep Club and publications. After high school, Cameron plans to attend Washington State University for a possible career in criminal justice.

Dakota is the son of Rebecca Main and Rodney Main. His high school years have included football, basketball, tennis, Pep Club, Red R, band and Ritzville FFA. He plans to attend Big Bend Community College for two years and attend pilot school.

Jarod’s high school career included football, baseball, Future Business Leaders of America, honor society, Associated Student Body vice president, Associated Student Body president and Red R Club. Parents are Keri Gingrich, Cristina Marecz, Jeff Holland and Trent Marecz. After graduation, Jarod plans to attend Washington State University.

Jordynn, the daughter of Lori Ann Hart and Marc Richard Michelson, was involved in Ritzville FFA, Future Business Leaders of America, Ritzville Junior Miss, volunteering at Life Care Center of Ritzville, cheerleading, Pep Club, Red R, class officer, yearbook and served as editor for the school newspaper during high school. Jordynn plans to attend Spokane Community College where she will earn a degree in business as well as attend Paul Mitchell as a back up. In addition, she hopes to be employed at the entry level in government.

Auburn was involved in basketball, volleyball, softball, Ritzville FFA, Pep Club, leadership and handled wrestling stats while in high school. Parents are Kim Yaeger, Kurt Schaefer and Scott Yaeger. Auburn will attend Spokane Community College where she will obtain an AA degree.

Brianna, the daughter of Deborah Kohler and granddaughter of Vivien and Al Seaton, was active in cheerleading, Red R, Pep Club, Future Business Leaders of America, leadership, honor choir and drama while in high school. Brianna will attend Spokane Falls Community College for two years when she transfers to Washington State University where she will earn a master’s degree in psychology and possibly double majoring in photography.

Steven M. Steinberger Steven is the son of Tammy Steinberger and Mike Steinberger. He was involved in basketball, Ritzville FFA, Red R, track, football, Pep Club, pep band and band while in high school. His plans include attending Spokane Community College and becoming an electrical lineman.

Dylan is the son of Holly Bartz. His high school years included golf, basketball, Ritzville FFA and serving as volleyball manager. He plans to attend Walla Walla Community College after graduation.

Britney was involved in four years of honor choir, played softball and had extracurricular science classes during high school. She plans to attend a community college to explore new ideas, earn an AA degree and study music and audio production followed by four years at Eastern Washington University.

The Future is Looking Up

Chauntel Marie White Chauntel, the daughter of Stephanie White and Brandn White, was active in Ritzville FFA, Pep Club, Red R, Ritzville Junior Miss, honor society, softball, volleyball, honor band, yearbook and served as class officer in high school. After high school she plans to attend Western Washington University for a career in secondary education.

Christian is a foreign exchange student from China staying with Gregg and Marcy Sampson. While at Ritzville High School, he has participated in Math is Cool and Pep Club. He plans to return next year and attend college in California where he will study international trading.

Will is an exchange student from China staying with Gregg and Marcy Sampson. His school year included Math is Cool and Pep Club. He plans to return to the United States and attend Washington State University for a career in mechanical engineering.
