Warming Up The Children of New Zealand

Meet CommonKind, a business committed to ensuring every New Zealand family stays warm and cosy. With their collection of blankets, they’ve embraced the buy one, give one philosophy, spreading warmth and kindness with every purchase.

Through partnerships with community organisations, CommonKind ensures that a snug wool blanket reaches a child living in material hardship alongside your own purchase. To date, 260 blankets have been donated to children living in cold, damp homes in Aotearoa through customer purchases.

CommonKind takes pride in using 100% New Zealand wool where possible, offering blankets that are designed to be passed on for generations and will naturally biodegrade at the end of their life.

Recently, CommonKind expanded its natural range with the introduction of Zigzag Sleeping Bags! These baby sleeping bags are carefully crafted to fulfill The Nest Collective NZ’s mission of providing secure and cosy sleepwear for families across Aotearoa. And the kindness doesn’t stop there—for every Zigzag Sleeping Bag that is sold, a premium woolen blanket is donated to The Nest Collective NZ.

Designed and made locally in New Zealand, Zigzag Sleeping Bags were made with support from Wellington manufacturer Little Yellow Bird. Their unique print, brought to life by textile designer Eva Ferguson Rebenschied, features charming ocean motifs, inspiring little ones to embark on enchanting journeys of discovery.

With CommonKind, it’s not just about creating bright, beautiful homewares; it’s about ensuring everyone in Aotearoa has access to a bright future.
