Meeting Minutes ~ October 15, 2015 Kent Hendricks, Corey Bruggeman, Ben Eubank, Larry Horton, Karen Ingersoll, Geoff Pashkowski, Patrick de Haan Meeting called to order by President-Moderator Geoff Pashkowski Ben Eubank Patrick de Haan Kent, Larry, Karen, Corey, and Patrick 1. Review of Phil Corderoy’s visit with us last week. It was a fun and interesting week! 2. Kent’s birthday is today, and somehow Linda got roped in to singing Happy Birthday. 3. Wouldn’t be a meeting without the Texas Football Report by Ben Eubank. He’s extremely happy that Oklahoma got beat! 4. Pat gave Karen a really cute Santa book for her grandson, Jett. He’s gonna love it! 5. Larry brought up the Emerging Leaders & Young Professionals Networking Event to be held this evening at CO+Hoots downtown. The event was organized by CXR’s President, Christina Ratto… a multi-club, multi-district event! 6. Lots and lots of discussion about prison tours - Madison, Florence, Leavenworth, Lansing, Alcatraz.. (really not sure how we got there… hmmmm….). It’s amazing how many of the club members have seen the inside of a prison!

1. Is it the TRUTH? 2. Is it FAIR to All Concerned? 3. Will it Build GOODWILL and Better Friendships? 4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to All Concerned? 5. Is it FUN?

Kent – Happy that the Hawkeyes are still winning. And, a happy $ for his birthday!

Larry’s fundraiser is coming up on Saturday evening. Should be a fun time with great prizes!

Corey had a great time at the Diamond Backs game with Patti for her birthday. They had 3rd row seats which gave them a great view of the game and the players.

Geoff and Barbara are celebrating their 27th Anniversary… congratulations!

Ben had a weird phone day earlier in the week. His phone and others in the office wouldn’t work. Finally called Verizon and they alluded to solar flares, but were working to fix it. Do-do-do-do, do-do do-do… (think theme to The Twilight Zone). Phones started working later that day.

Karen had a sad/happy $ for her dad… had a scare that resulted in a trip to the hospital and blood transfusions, but he’s home now and doing much better.

Pat was late because he lost his cell phone and spent all morning looking for it. (Still hadn’t found it.) Happy because each year he tries to get more “stuff” for the Christmas Tree Project. This year’s purchase was a lifesized reindeer that is 5’ tall and will hold up to 150 lbs, so children can sit on it to get their pictures taken. 

Pat brought up that Karen is working on a project of sorts to raise toys for the Christmas Tree Project. Karen explained… she is presenting the Project to her office at the Partner’s meeting on Tuesday (approximately 60 agents attending). As added incentive for the agents (and vendors), Pat will make a Santa Claus visit to the home of the agent who collects the most toys on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day (or home / charity of their choice). Excited to see how this goes!
