RESCUING FABRICS
Here is where the material we use to make our bags comes from. In this
warehouse we reclaim umbrella canvases that for years have been by the
sea to repair the bathers from the sun. Many are unusable for too much salt, sun and time spent on the beach.
Much more are still beautiful, resistant with vivid colors. It is impossible for us to abandon them there and not to make objects that will bring with them forever the emotions of summer days and the pattern of colors, seen from above, dotting the Adriatic Riviera.
Qui è da dove proviene il materiale che utilizziamo per la realizzazione delle nostre borse. In questo magazzino recuperiamo le tele di ombrellone che per anni sono state in riva al mare a riparare dal sole i bagnanti. Molte sono inutilizzabili per il troppo sale, sole e tempo passato in spiaggia. Moltissime altre sono ancora belle, resistenti e dai colori vividi. Impossibile per noi abbandonarle lì e non realizzare oggetti che porteranno per sempre con loro le emozioni delle giornate estive e il pattern di colori che visto dall’alto punteggia la Riviera Adriatica.

Here in the swatch we add only the colors that we have found in larger quantities, but you can also ask for the extra colors of the moment.
Trattando materiale riciclato, aggiorniamo sempre la cartella colori durante l’anno. A volte troviamo una quantità maggiore dello stesso tipo di ombrellone, a volte uno solo del suo genere. Qui nella cartella aggiungiamo solo i colori che abbiamo trovato in quantità maggiori, ma puoi chiedere anche i colori extra del momento.
For the RR22 collection we decided not to talk only about our bags but to do it in collaboration with the FONDAZIONE CETACEA, a place that is very close to our hearts both for the people who manage it and for the amazing work they do. Fondazione Cetacea is a turtle hospital located in Riccione, although at the moment it has a “makeshift” location and the turtles are located in a tent outside the structure (a former seaside colony) where they used to be. They deal with the rescue of animals in distress, especially sea turtles and cetaceans, mainly injured by fishing. The Municipality of Rimini, through a public call, gave them the concession for the former dolphinarium as a new headquarters, but Fondazione needs funds for the renovation or for the abatement of the building abuses carried out by the previous management. We also remind you that the previous management was condemned for animal abuse. We took the photos here, a step away from our sea, to help the foundation with the search for funds for the new hospital. Soon on our site we will open a link to donate and their crowdfunding campaign will also start. We really hope to be able to help them and that you too can give a help!

Per la collezione RR22 abbiamo deciso di non parlare solo delle nostre borse ma di farlo in collaborazione con Fondazione Cetacea, un luogo che ci sta molto a cuore sia per le persone che lo gestiscono sia per l’incredibile lavoro che fanno. Fondazione Cetacea è un ospedale delle tartarughe che si trova a Riccione, anche se al momento ha una sede “di fortuna” e le tartarughe sono ubicate in un tendone all’esterno della struttura (una ex-colonia al mare) dove prima si trovavano. Si occupano del soccorso di animali in difficoltà, soprattutto tartarughe marine e cetacei, prevalentemente feriti dall’attività di pesca. Il Comune di Rimini tramite un bando ha dato loro in concessione l’ex delfinario come nuova sede, ma alla Fondazione servono però i fondi per la ristrutturazione e per l’abbattimento degli abusi edilizi realizzati dalla precedente gestione. Ricordiamo inoltre che la precedente gestione è stata condannata per maltrattamento sugli animali. Le foto le abbiamo realizzate qui dentro, a un passo dal nostro mare, per aiutare la Fondazione con la ricerca dei fondi per il nuovo ospedale.
