PEACETIME

Raymond was born in Halifax, NS, in 1932 and presently lives in Bridgewater, NS. He served with the 2nd Battalion Canadian Guards in Canada and Germany from September 5, 1956 to January 5, 1960. Raymond is a member in good standing of Harding Branch 144. Submitted by Harding Branch 144 of The Royal Canadian Legion.

CROMWELL, William H. “Bill�

WWII

Bill was born at Claire, NS, on December 31, 1916. He joined the Canadian Army, 2nd Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment in 1941 and served in the UK, Sicily, Italy, France, Belgium and Holland. He returned to Canada in late 1945, and lived in Southville, NS. He now resides at the VAC Unit in Middleton.

CROSBY, Keith

WWI

Keith was born in Hectanooga, NS, in 1899. He served with the 24th Battalion Canadian Infantry (Quebec Regiment), Victoria Rifles in Canada and Belgium. He was killed in action in 1916 in Belgium. Submitted by Carleton Consolidated Branch 167 of The Royal Canadian Legion.

CROUSE, Irving

Irving was born in Waterloo, NS, in 1914. He served with the US Air Force.

CURRIE, Frank

WWI

Frank was born in Chatham, NB, in 1897. He served with the C.O.S.E.F. Canadian Artillery Regiment, 28th Battery, 7th C.G.R. in France and England. He was wounded at Vimy Ridge. He worked as a steelworker in the USA with Tennessee Dam Authority after the war. He was married and had three children. Frank passed away in 1980. Submitted by DonnaLee Butler.
