Newsletter Summer/Fall 2015

July 4, 2015 in Venture Out This year July 4th was made extra special for us here in Venture Out and especially for us here at Venture Out Vacations. This is a Flag that Alex Forrest gave to his parents Mark and Terry Forrest (owners of Venture Out Vacations) after returning from his tour of duty in Afghanistan, it was flown over the base there in Kandahar. This is the first time it was flown over US soil. The golf cart parade, water slide, ice cream social and cook out were tons of fun. Venture Out Vacations sponsored live Music at the beach pool and there was live music at the cook out as well. Venture Out is the Place to be for the fourth of July!

Travel Tips

Thunder Beach Autumn Rally Oct 21-25 2015 Stay 3 or more nights and get one night free. Venture Out is a great place for bikers looking to stay on the quiet end of the beach. Bring your family and let the kids enjoy the pool and beach while you are at the Rally Events.

1) When you are on your way to the resort you may want to make a pit stop for the little ones before you get here. There are not any public restrooms in the resort office. With so many people getting here at the same time there is sometimes a line and it could take you a few minutes to get registered. There are bath houses in the resort but to be safe you may want to make a stop before you get here. 2) Once you get here make sure you have a debit or credit card for security purposes and bring in your tag number. The resort requires both of these things to get your registered. 3) Once you register with the Venture Out office to get your car passes you will need to come to our office in the same building to sign a registration card with us and get your keys or to see if your unit is ready. Even if you have paid for your stay in full we need to see you before you go on back to your unit.

Off the beaten Path Down Town Panama City is a great place to get away form the crowds. There are several great local shops & restaurants. The antique stores have tons of great old marine items that are great for decorating your beach house or your house back home. Speaking of decorating, famous water color artist Paul Brent has a gallery & store there too. There are great local restaurants to try, from Toms Hotdogs to Ferrucci Ristorante and don’t forget Sugar Boogers for dessert, try one of their cupcakes! The marina has a marina store, I know what your thinking, “bait and tackle” while they do have that stuff, they have so much more! They have gifts, post cards, snacks & you can get a fishing license there. Several locals fish from the marina. If you are looking for something different to do or just want to get away from the crowds, check out Downtown Panama City. Not to be confused with St Andrews, I’ll leave that for another day.

Fall Back Rates Fall back rates for Fall Break. If you book 4 or more nights for Fall break we will give you a night free. With nightly rates at the Off Season Rate, you can really save and come to Paradise at the best time of the year.
