LET YOUR

TAKE THE REINS. ambition

WHEN YOU ARE A RIDER BRONC, you are free to engage, free to change and free to explore. That might mean studying subjects you’ve loved for years. Or following one interest to the next until you arrive exactly where you were meant to be. There are so many possibilities ahead, and all you have to do is take the first step with us.

AJ the Bronc, our beloved mascot, is named after Rider’s first president, Andrew J. Rider

Passion meets practice.

Our Engaged Learning Program

gives you the opportunity to be captivated and motivated by eyeopening, life-changing experiences in nearby communities and all over the world. Together, the six pillars of the program will create a meaningful education that is uniquely yours.

» LEADERSHIP AND MENTORING

We all need a little help and a lot of practice to become the kinds of leaders we ourselves want to follow. Rider students hold a range of leadership positions in student organizations and sports teams.

» STUDY ABROAD AND CULTURAL EXPLORATION

Broncs can participate in short-term or semester-long programs around the world. And students can also discover multicultural and intercultural experiences closer to home — right on Rider’s campus.

» GUIDED RESEARCH AND SCHOLARSHIP

Our small classes and 12:1 student-to-faculty ratio means that in addition to receiving personalized support, you might find yourself researching with your professors in the field or presenting side-byside with them at a national conference.

» CIVIC AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

When we give back to our communities, we give more than time or money — we give our whole selves. Broncs collectively volunteer thousands of hours with local programs and organizations.

» ARTS, MEDIA AND CREATIVITY

Whether you’re making it or taking it in, art changes you for the better, which is why we’ve built a community where creativity thrives. 100+ student performances happen on campus every year.

» INTERNSHIPS, CO-OPS AND FIELDWORK

internships, co-ops and field placements are completed by Rider students each year

Through internships, fieldwork and co-ops, you’ll develop on-thejob skills, build your resume and make valuable connections. Our students have gained real-world career experience at companies like Bristol Myers Squibb, the New York Giants and Vanguard.

Daniel Broderick ’23

Accounting major Broderick participated in Rider’s Aspiring Accounting Professional Program — designed to help accounting students from historically marginalized communities succeed in and out of the classroom — and gained real-world experience in multiple internships, including opportunities with Big Four accounting firms EY and PwC.

Students who attended the Well-Being in Greece program learned about the relationship between local diet, activity and longevity, and had the opportunity to explore historical sites in Athens.

Students share their academic projects with the Rider community every year at Independent Scholarship and Creative Activities Presentations (ISCAP) Day »

» Can I receive merit scholarships?

Average Annual Net Price

After Federal, State and Institutional Grants and Scholarships*

$30,001–$48,000 $21,596 $5,366

$48,001–$75,000 $25,471 $9,241

$75,001–$110,000 $31,713 $15,483

> $110,001 $34,808 $18,578

*2023–2024 average net price is generated using the same methodology as used by Federal IPEDS but separates on-campus and off-campus (with family) as opposed to the weighted average. It is calculated by subtracting the average amount of federal, state/local government, or institutional grant or scholarship aid from the total cost of attendance. Total cost of attendance is the sum of published tuition and required fees, books and supplies, room and board and other expenses (as applicable). Average net price is calculated for first-time full-time students, who completed required financial aid applications such as the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and were awarded federal, state/local government, or institutional grants or scholarships. Fees do not include one-time Orientation Fee.

Yes. Merit scholarships are annually renewable for up to four consecutive years, provided you maintain continuous, full-time enrollment and the minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) specified in your acceptance letter. Best of all, scholarships and grants do not need to be repaid.

» What about non-Rider scholarships? Will they affect my financial aid?

Many Rider students receive generous scholarships from sources outside of the University. The good news is, your financial aid offer will most likely be the same regardless of your scholarship awards. In the case that you earn enough outside scholarships, your aid from Rider could be reduced to fit within your Cost of Attendance. Either way, your debt will be lower once you graduate.
