The Bishop of Connor, the Right Rev. Alan Abernethy on Sunday, 8 March, following a Confirmation Service at 6pm, will perform this. Everyone at St. Patrick’s (Broughshane) is very grateful to the builder, George Robinson and Architect, Uel Marcus for the outstanding job they have made of the renovation. Talking about what is included in the updated premises, Dean Bond added: “The new facilities - three meeting rooms, storage facilities, toilet, lift, comply with all regulations to meet the needs of those with disabilities. They will also provide Crèche facilities and meeting facilities for parish meetings etc.” THANKS Appropriately, the Dean also thanked his Select Vestry and Parishioners, who in their different ways have enabled the project to come to fruition. He continued: ‘The new Building which cost £226,000 will provide much needed additional facilities for our growing parish and community. It will consist of two large and one small meeting room, storage rooms, lift and toilet with provision for those with disabilities.’ He said, ‘The Select Vestry have invested a tremendous amount of time and thought in this project and have shown enormous faith, courage and determination. We thank God for his blessings, and our congregation for helping to provide these new and beautiful premises. We are passing on to the next generation –

We must be a Church living our faith in action – a Church with open doors and a warm welcome, offering care and love in the community and to encourage that community spirit which is so characteristic of Broughshane.” The Dean went on: “We look forward to the future with renewed faith, clearer vision and profound thankfulness to God who makes all things possible. “I pay tribute to all who have been involved in this project, our Builder Mr George Robinson, Architect Mr Uel Marcus, to the electricians, plumbers, and various suppliers for their excellent work. It has been a privilege to be a part of God’s plan in this parish in these early years of the 21st Century.”
