Our clients from a previous project requested a remake of their modest rear terrace and garage roof deck. This family wished for a designated space for their children to hone their basketball skills, but did not want to compromise their design aesthetic or views onto their intimate enclave where they often host gatherings.

The necessity of a visual and physical restraint from wayward basketballs and neighboring homes evolved into a towering wall of Brazilian hardwood, now dominating the space with a warm glow. Custom fabricated aluminum planters mimic the architectural detailing of the home with formal sculptural patterning. A tailor-made water feature embraces the profile of the garage stair, casually spilling water and reflecting light. Lastly, a handsome outdoor kitchen built of ipe cladding and porcelain countertops hugs the side wall providing our clients with high end amenities perfect for hosting evening dinner parties — and basketball games — alike.
