An Elvey Celebration Thank you for considering holding your wedding here at Elvey Farm. We are delighted and honoured that you are thinking of us for such a special occasion. Our main wedding season runs from June to early September, when we have a marquee in the grounds. Outside of these months we can offer smaller events contained within our sixteenth-century barn.
Nothing was too big or too small for the guys at Elvey Farm and they made our wedding day not only complete but memorable and stress free from day one. Words alone cannot describe the beauty of Elvey Farm; it has to be seen firsthand. From the location to the food and everything in between Elvey Farm was, in a word, perfick!

A Hidden Gem Where many wedding venues tolerate gay weddings, here at Elvey Farm we really welcome them. As a gay-owned and managed business, the farm offers an environment of complete acceptance and celebration. The farm is the ideal location to hold a wedding: we’re miles away from anywhere, so you’ll be able to enjoy the benefits of peace and total privacy.
We can honestly say it was the happiest day of our lives. The farm is such an amazing venue, and the team are such wonderful people who helped our day go without a hitch even when the bridesmaids dress zip broke! We couldn’t fault it book now!

The Ceremony We have two rooms licensed for weddings. In the sixteenth-century barn, beneath the ancient beams, we can accommodate up to 60 people seated or 90 people standing. For a more intimate setting, we also have a lounge area that can accommodate up to 25 people. Alternatively, the ceremony can be held outside the barn, subject to the British weather, of course! After the wedding is over celebrate with drinks on the lawn. A refreshing glass of Pimms or perhaps a chilled glass of local Sparkling Wine?
As soon as we stumbled across the place we fell in love with the pretty medieval barn setting and the contemporary rooms & facilities. We had the most magical wedding day and made use of the beautiful marquee behind the barn, which we’d wholly recommend. Simon & Elsie are genuinely warm and friendly and without a doubt will make sure your day goes well, they really care about what they do and it shows.

Celebrate in the Marquee Your Wedding Breakfast and Evening Reception will be held in the marquee in the paddock. The 30’ x 80’ framed marquee comes complete with arched windows overlooking the paddock, ivory lining, chandeliers and up-lighters in the walls – to give it a warm, soft glow. It also has a carpeted, hard wooden floor throughout, which includes a 15’ x 18’ parquet dance floor with a twinkle star-cloth above it for your first dance.

The Wedding Breakfast For the Wedding Breakfast the marquee can accommodate up to 120 guests. The marquee can be decorated however you like – we can recommend florists and companies to decorate and create beautiful table-pieces. You can have long trestle style tables or round ones – it really just depends on the style of the wedding you want to create.
Our Chef team will oversee all the food for your Wedding Breakfast. We can provide you with sample menus of the types of food we can offer, but all menus can be individually tailored to your specific requirements. We also have some fantastic drink packages available – and can offer advice on the best wines to perfectly compliment your chosen menu.

Evening Celebrations In the evening, as the sun begins to set, the Evening Celebrations begin. We will provide a bar for you and your guests, which includes draft larger. We can also prepare an evening buffet for you – but there are other options. Then it’s down to you to dance the night away until midnight.
We will forever be thankful that we found this magical, medieval farmstead. The day itself surpassed all our expectations - who can fail to feel romantic amongst the oak beams, the exposed brick and the grape vines entwined around the stable pergola. Simon & Elsie work so hard to meet your needs, you really feel as if this is your own private sanctuary. We spent the most amazing day of our lives at Elvey which means it will never be far from our thoughts.

Night Time on the Farm At the end of the night, you and your guests can retire to one of our eleven beautifully appointed rooms in our four ancient buildings. For the happy couple, the Canterbury Suite with its exclusive access to a Secret Garden with outdoor hot-tub, is the perfect choice.
Full details of our accommodation can be found attached to this pack. All rooms will automatically be reserved for guests attending your event, and it is expected that you will occupy all eleven rooms on the night its-self. Many of your guests might choose to stay the night before.

Your Event Co-ordinator Something that we pride ourselves on at Elvey Farm is that you will have one main point of contact. Simon will be allocated as your event coordinator and will take you through the entire process, from initial planning to waving goodbye as you leave the farm as newlyweds.
We offer couples exclusive use of the farm. From 12 noon on the day of your event until 11am the following morning, the place is yours, with only you and your guests here.
By the time your big day arrives, we will have shared ideas for many months; you will have met with us several times - you might even have called us to discuss late-night fears. In fact, we’ll have become friends.
