Nathaniel L. Corwin is a shareholder of Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein, P.C. (Garden City, NY) with more than 35 years of firm experience concentrated in the Wills, Trusts & Estates department and also performs legal work in the areas of corporate law, real estate, municipal law and contractual matters. His work includes the drafting of sophisticated wills and trusts, the administration of estates, succession planning, and handling of real estate transactions for the firm’s trusts and estates clients.

She has served as a court-appointed Court Evaluator, Guardian ad Litem, Counsel to Guardian, Attorney for Alleged Incapacitated Person, Trustee of Supplemental Needs Trusts and Guardian.
Deborah is the president of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York — the second largest statewide bar association in New York and the largest women’s bar association in the country — and the past president of the New York Women's Bar Association.
Deborah, a Cornell Law School Graduate, has earned Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review AV Rating, Preeminent, 5 out of 5. In 2022 and 2023 she was named as one of the Law Power 100 by City and State New York. In 2021 she was a recipient of an Outstanding Women in the Law Award from Hofstra University School of Law. She also has an L.L.M degree in Taxation from New York University School of Law. She is a graduate of Wellesley College.

What/who inspired you to be on the path you’re on today?
My grandfather, Hilary E. Corwin, and my father, Robert L. Corwin, were both well-respected attorneys who practiced for many years in my hometown of Huntington. Their devotion to the profession and standing in the community inspired me to follow in their footsteps.

What has been your greatest achievement(s) within the past year?
Achieving my goals for Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York, such as increasing membership to pre-Covid levels; achieving record-breaking fundraising for the organization;and establishing three new committees, including the Business Development Committee, which established a listserv for our members to refer business to each other throughout the State, and the Social Action Committee, which has had meaningful social action projects all year.
