The park memorializes Sgt. “Big Ralph” Mastaglio, a veteran of both World War I and World War II.

A small triangle park adjacent to the Town Path connector from Glen Street to the Arterial (Sgt. Maj. Dan Daly Memorial) Highway.

Most notable feature is the circle of 13 flagpoles flying American flags. Danis Park is named for Robert H. Danis, who served as Glen Cove’s Commissioner of Public Works from 1952 to 1957.
