Arcadia Farms first opened in 1990 as a small bakery. Nearly 30 years later, the now-Arcadia Farms Café has grown into a quaint place to gather for breakfast and lunch. With dishes like the lump crab cakes ($18), it’s easy to see why. They are made with lumpgrade crab meat, diced red bell peppers, organic chives, housemade mayonnaise, eggs, breadcrumbs and Old Bay seasoning. The mixture is formed into cakes and sauteed to order. Two are plated on a bed of field greens, julienned carrots, jicama and mango salsa, similarly made with peppers and chives. Puffy rice noodles are added for texture, and the dish is finished with a paprika-infused lime vinaigrette. Free from fillers, the crab shines, with the citrus adding balanced acidity.
