he American Liver Foundation’s 26th anniversary of Flavors of Phoenix is a gourmet event not to be missed, featuring nearly 40 of Arizona’s top chefs coming together for a great cause – raising funds to help the 30 million people in this country fighting liver disease. Presented by Mayo Clinic, Flavors of Phoenix is unique in that it allows guests to not only sample great food, but to experience it on another level via elaborate decor displays, one-on-one time with chefs, and a peek “into the kitchen” as they are able to watch the chefs in action. “During the fast-paced event, each chef cooks tableside for their respective table of 12 guests,” says Ashley Drew, executive director of the American Liver Foundation – Desert Southwest Division. “By the end of the evening, guests will have indulged in five sumptuous courses, each expertly paired with cocktails and wine.” Designed to go beyond the traditional gala fundraising dinner, Flavors of Phoenix was first “stirred together” by James Beard
