At The Phoenician, Mowry & Cotton’s “Porch Party” ($39 per person) offers resort guests and locals alike a communal brunch experience featuring samples of chef Tandy Peterson’s fan favorite dishes and house specialties every Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The indulgent menu includes monkey bread made with brown butter pecans, blueberry fig jam and white chocolate creme fraiche; carne asada breakfast tacos; shrimp and grits; and scrumptious doughnuts. And because brunching and cocktailing are often synonymous, Mowry & Cotton has a solid lineup of beverages for morning-time diners including a Fro-mosa Journey ($18) – a flight of three frozen sorbet mimosas – and a Blueberry Buzz ($11), a buzzy vodka cocktail equipped with bacon and a mini waffle.
