Bar 1936 Among the most famous views in the Valley is certainly Camelback Mountain. And among the most romantic ways to enjoy the view day or night is from the patio at Bar 1936, located at the JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn. Lit by fire pits and strategically set twinkle lights, the patio is not only romantic, but upscale-rustic and uniquely Arizona. www.camelbackinn.com. Dominick’s Steakhouse Certainly, the steakhouse itself is the epitome of romance any night of the year. But, after dinner, slink over to the nearly hidden lounge area, which is tucked behind the massive formal bar area, before heading home. It’s not only intimate with seating for less than 60 people, the floorto-ceiling glass wine cellar provides the sexiest of backdrops. www.dominickssteakhouse.com. Isabella’s Kitchen Isabella’s offers 180-degree views of Camelback and Mummy mountains and is planted right on the 18th hole of Grayhawk Golf Club with greenery as far as the eye can see. After sunset, strings of twinkling lights dot the night sky, and the patio offers fire pits, picnic tables, couches, rocking chairs and even bar seating both indoors and out. www.isabellaskitchen.com. LON’s at The Hermosa Inn Nestled in the heart of Paradise Valley, the iconic outdoor patio at LON’s is notably considered one the Valley’s most romantic. It’s flanked by lush, colorful gardens, towering trees with sparkling lights, a large trickling water fountain, and five outdoor fireplaces with intimate enclaves and cozy conversational couches, perfect for sipping a craft cocktail. www.lons.com. Onyx Bar & Lounge Located by Talavera at the Four Seasons Resort, Onyx Bar & Lounge is romantic indoors and out. Inside, the lounge’s centerpiece is its actual bar, which is custom-made out of a mesquite tree bursting with amber ribbons. Outside, on the 1,000-square-foot elevated patio, there are unobstructed desert and city views as far as the eye can see and live music on weekends. www.talaverarestaurant.com/onyx. Saguaro Restaurant Located inside the boutique hotel of the same name, this vibrantly colored patio with a massive fireplace (totally made for cuddling up next to) has become such a popular hidden date gem, it recently launched a “Desert Nights” specialty menu featuring spiked hot chocolate, mulled wine, apple cider and small bites to share with someone special. It’s available nightly until 10 p.m. www.thesaguaro.com. Second Story Restaurant & Liquor Bar A dreamy escape, Second Story is perched above Scottsdale Road and 3rd Avenue, hidden away from the bustle of the scene below. A sexy cocktail bar with decor to match, the space caters specifically to late-night lovebirds, staying open until 2 a.m. on weekends and offering a specialty late-night food and drink menu. www.secondstoryaz.com
