EFFORTLESS AND EXPRESSIVE Katie Mann keeps things simple yet fun

As the owner of Curated Medical, Katie Mann is in the business of creating confidence. Like her clients, Mann loves to keep up with trends, but her goal is to always achieve an effortless, put-together look. “Style was definitely not something that came naturally to me,” she says. “Luckily with social media, I have learned to develop my own style. I’ve learned how to use trends that seem intimidating at first so my style is always evolving.” During the fall season, Mann will often style neutral bodysuits with a cool jacket, trendy jeans, and unique shoes. “My must-haves are amazing jeans and great basic tops. I would much rather spend more on these items that I will wear over and over,” she says. “I love Agolde and Mother for denim. I have many different styles of each and they always fit amazingly. Rag & Bone shoes are always so comfortable and great quality.” Many of Mann’s style inspiration comes from her trips around the world. “My sister lives in LA so I’m definitely influenced by what I see when I visit her,” she says. “I have a Paris trip coming up and cannot wait to see all of the chic fashion.”
Who influences your style? Charly Goss is a Canadian stylist who I follow religiously! She provides tons of information about what the trends are and how you can incorporate them into your life. I also love Marianna Hewitt’s style. My sister also has great style! What is the most prized possession in your closet and why? At the moment my most prized possession is my new Saint Laurent hobo bag. It was a gift and is just the perfect size and great trendy shape. What is your favorite store? I love Shopbop because it has a variety of styles, a lot of great brands and accurate product photography. I’ve gotten quite a few items from Oak and Fort lately, I love that Reformation has petite sizing, and Abercrombie has really stepped it up lately for basics!
