Barbara A Moreno

Barbara A Moreno, 78 of Boaz formerly of C hicago, Illinois passed away Friday , March 17 at UW Hospital after a courageous 8 year battle with cancer. Barbara is survived by her chil dren: Steven Wozny (Donna) of Readstown, David Moreno of Lone Rock, Kimberly Kienitz (Steven) of Avoca; her grandchildren include Tiffany Wozny, Aaron Moreno, Conner (Keepers) Moreno, Brandon (Bicknase) Moreno, Madison Moreno, Alaina Moreno, Ashley Wilder, Jerry Lee-George Wilder Jr, Samantha Chitwood, Liberty Roen; 11 great grandchildren; 2 brothers Donald Williams of Chicago and Robert Williams of Skokie, IL; a very special niece Roberta Koch (Joe), other relatives and friends. Up to the day Barbara passed away she had a sense of humor that all her doctors & nurses were very entertained and amused by. She was an avid euchre tournament player, loved to play bean bags, and cooking big meals with her brother for family pool parties

Though her smile is gone forever and her hand I cannot touch anymore, I will have the memory of holding her hand through her last breath of life. Joan Marie Deets

Joan Marie Deets of Richland Center went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 22nd 2023 at the age of 86. She was born July 16th, 1936 in Richland Center the daughter of Bernard and Helen (Resac)

Carter. Joan spent her childhood on the family farm in Richland County in the Town of Forest. She graduated from West Lima High School as Valedictorian in 1954. Joan then moved to Richland Center to work as a secretary for the Koenig Insurance Agency. She married Larry Deets on April 19th, 1958 in Hillsboro. Joan stayed at home to be a full-time mother to her three children until all were in school. She then returned to the Koenig-Nelson-Beggs-Schwartz Insurance Agencies where she spent a combined 32 years as a secretary and later as an insurance agent. Since moving to Richland Center, Joan was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Her unwavering faith in God guided her throughout her life. Joan loved watching a variety of sports and she was a loyal supporter of the Wisconsin Badgers, Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee Brewers and Professional Golf, particularly when Tiger Woods was playing. She was especially proud of the fact that she was at Super Bowl XXXI in New Orleans in 1997, where the Packers defeated the Patriots. Likewise, she was always there to cheer on the St Mary’s Cougars and the Richland Center Hornets when her children, grandchildren and numerous other local athletes played a given sport. Joan will always be remembered for her unconditional love shown to her family and others. She leaves a legacy of being kind, caring, generous and unselfish. Survivors include her three children: Steve (Ellen) of Richland Center, Greg (Linda) of Waukesha and Lisa of Saint Charles, Illinois. Four grandchildren: Samantha (Brandon) Salisbury, Kelsey Deets, Braeden Deets and Keaten Deets, three great-grandchildren: Kendall, Liam and Fulton Salisbury, sisters-in law: Marlene Yates and Sue Carter and many nieces and nephews. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Larry and her younger brother Larry Carter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 15th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Richland Center. Monsignor Roger Scheckel will officiate with a private burial in the Bloom City Cemetery following the mass. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 15th, 2023 at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Mary’s Catholic School or an organization of your choice. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with the arrangements

H. Nebl

Paul H. Nebl, 85, of Richland Center, passed away at Our House Memory Care on March 23,2023. Paul was the youngest of six children of John and Adaline (Cullen) Nebl. He was born on September 28, 1937, in Juneau, WI. As a young boy, Paul was in the Boy Scouts where he enjoyed campouts and cooking over the campfire. He was an avid ice skater and loved the ice-skating rink and playing hockey with friends. Paul also played football, basketball, and baseball during his high school years. He graduated from Juneau High School in 1955. He worked in Juneau at the Peoples and Prager Beer Distributor with his brother Eugene for five years. Then he became an insurance inspector for Cutler Insurance Agency in Milwaukee. After this job, he worked in Watertown, WI as a dry cleaner for One Hour Martinizing for two years. Paul then became the owner of his own dry-cleaning business, Paul’s Classic Cleaners, in Madison, WI. Paul, along with his son, John, grew his business to seven locations in the Madison area where he worked until his retirement in 1996. In 1958, Paul married his high school sweetheart, Delores J. Soldner. They had two children, John P. Nebl and Felicia G. Nebl. Paul and his family spent many funfilled weekends at Pickeral Lake near Wautoma, WI. Paul loved to hunt and fish with his wife and children, and later his grandchildren. Paul also enjoyed attending many Packer games with his family and friends. After retirement, he loved traveling to Mississippi where he and Delores enjoyed camping, fishing, gambling, and trying out new restaurants. In addition to traveling in retirement, he loved spending time with his three grandchildren, Hannah, Hailey, and Jack, and also his great grandchildren, Caliah, Emelia and Elijah. The grandchildren all enjoyed his quick wit, jokes, and funny stories that he would share at family gatherings. Paul is survived by his wife, Delores; his son John Nebl (Jill Rhodes); his daughter Felicia (Rob) Rynes; his brother and sister-in-law David and Diane Soldner; his grandchildren Hannah Nebl (Tyler Shaub) Hailey (Wyatt) Seep, Jack Teska; and great grandchildren Caliah LeRoy, Emelia Seep, and Elijah Seep He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Adaline Nebl; his brothers, John (Ardell) Nebl, Roland (Marie) Nebl, Eugene Nebl; his sisters, June Veling, and Patricia (Robert) Wild; his mother and father-in law, JoHannah and Wallace Soldner; sister-in-law, Florence (Tommy) Petroselli; brother-in-law, Donald Soldner; his nephews, Bobby Nebl and Anthony Petroselli; and great nephew Shaun Wild.

Funeral services were held on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 11:30 AM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel.

Burial was held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Juneau. Visitation was held at the Pratt Memorial Chapel on Friday March 31, 2023, from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:30 AM. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service assisted the family with their arrangements.

Stephen Danz

Stephen Danz, 68, of Hillpoint, WI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg, WI. He was born on February 26, 1955, in Peoria, IL, the son of Ben and Delores (Stout) Danz. Survivors include his sister, Karen (George) Shuflat of Knoxville, TN; a brother, Gary Danz of Hillpoint WI; 2 nephews, Mark Danz of Richland Center, WI and Josiah Arrington of Blue River, WI; a niece, Jennifer Arrington of Nashville, TN; 12 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Kathleen; a niece, Shelina Sweat; and a nephew, Mike Arrington. A visitation will be held at the Clary Memorial Funeral Home in Richland Center, WI on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 10:00 AM to Noon. A luncheon and graveside service will follow after visitation. Duane J. Harris

Duane J. Harris, 87, of Muscoda died Sunday March 26, 2023 at Pine Valley Community Village after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born January 21, 1936 in Richland Center, WI, the son of Madeline (Storms) and Homer Harris. Duane was united in marriage to Patricia ‘Pat’ Anding on March 16, 1955 at the Avoca Bible Church Parsonage. Duane worked on the family farm in his younger years and then went to work as a maintenance mechanic for the Cobb Canning Factory in Cobb and in Minnesota, for 35 years. He then went to work as a maintenance mechanic and boiler operator for Meister Cheese where he continued working until the summer of 2022. He was an avid NASCAR fan and was very successful stock car driver himself. He won the first race he entered in the late sixties with what would become a very well known, purple number 98, 1966 Chevelle.

In later years Duane was the proud crew chief for his son Larry and grandson Brandon when they jumped into the driver’s seat of the number 98 Duane enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren especially weekends at the race tracks and working on race cars with them. When he wasn’t racing he enjoyed going to the casino with his best friend, his wife Pat, and working on his 1963 Ford Jubilee tractor. He liked listening to country music and enjoyed many memorable adventures to Nashville and Branson with Pat. Duane is survived by four children: Terry (Valarie) Harris of Soldiers Grove, Gary Harris of Muscoda, Judy Story of Richland Center, Larry (Crystal) Harris of Spring Green; Six grandchildren: Becky (Jeff) Sieckman, Stacy (Dan) Pletzer, Sara Harris, Dustin Harris, Brandon (Toni) Harris, Cassandra Harris; and five great-grandchildren.Duane was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Madeline, brothers, Sylvester, and Leroy, two infant sisters, wife Pat, and great-grandson Little B. A private graveside service will be held in the Avoca Cemetery. Memorials for the family may be mailed to the Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service, 120 N Park, Richland Center, WI 53581. Dawnell Joy Templen (Burkhamer)

Dawnell Joy Templen (Burkhamer), 70, of Hillpoint, W isconsin passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday March 28th, 2023 at UW Hospital in Madison, WI due to complications from pneumonia. Dawnell was born on May 22nd, 1952 to Frank Burkhamer and Elsie Anderson in Richland Center, Wisconsin. Dawnell graduated from Riverdale High School in Muscoda, Wisconsin, Class of 1970. Dawnell married Myron (George) Brownlee in 1970. They had 3 children; Brad Brownlee, Stacy Johnson, James “Jimmy” Brownlee. Dawnell went on to marry Reg Templen on November 1st, 1997. Dawnell was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved unconditionally and wholeheartedly. She enjoyed spending time with her family and watching the birds bobcats, and deer in her backyard. She had a passion for crafting, gambling, concerts, dancing to old time rock and roll but loved them all, traveling and single handedly keeping the southwest Wisconsin UPS drivers employed Once retired Dawnell spent her time watching the wildlife in her backyard, sculpting, crafting and spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchild. She is survived by her husband, Reg Templen of Hillpoint, WI; children, Brad Brownlee (Tracy) of Cazenovia, WI, Stacy Johnson (Dan) of Richland Center, WI, James “Jimmy” Brownlee (Rachel) of Northfield, MN, Brad Templen of Cazenovia, WI, Rachel Templen of KY, and Brian Templen of Hillpoint, WI; sisters, Judy Pospichal of Muscoda, WI, and Kimberly Bomkamp of Muscoda, WI; grandchildren, Chelsey Peickert (Blake), Cassidy Brownlee (Wyatt), Myron (Cole) Brownlee, Dakota Brownlee, Hunter Johnson, Clay Johnson, Ryder Johnson, Owen Brownlee, Jonah Brownlee and Jacob Brownlee; and great grandchild, Myron Faust.
