Dear Fellow Alums, It is my honor to serve you as your next president of the Jones Graduate School Alumni Association (JSSAA). As I enter this role, I can tell you first hand about the array of opportunities we offer you to enhance your relationship with the school. An important purpose of the JSSAA is to grow a strong alumni network from the current student base through programs that encourage interaction with alumni and students. To accomplish this, we sponsor events and programs that connect alumni with the Jones School community. JSSAA also develops Rice MBA alumni groups outside Houston so that we can keep in touch with each other, network, participate in and support the school through our involvement. We continue to build upon past successes of the association and look ahead to new objectives this school year: Strengthen JSSAA — Expand the JGS alumni network within and across classes; strengthen member relationships by recognizing and promoting JGS alumni honors and accomplishments; and offer greater opportunities for alumni living outside of Houston to become involved Expand Professional Growth Opportunities — Increase and create more continuing education and career development opportunities for alumni Recruit New Members — Continue to foster member goodwill through student-alumni activities and relationships, particularly working to integrate graduates of the MBA for Executives and the MBA for Professionals programs into the alumni association Strengthen the Rice MBA Brand — Actively support the Dean’s strategic plan and mission of building excellence into the school’s programs Connect with Business Leaders — Strengthen the Jones School’s and Rice University’s relationship with the business community We need your help to accomplish these goals. Your time, expertise, and energy will benefit the Jones School, Rice University, and the community as a whole.
