Spazio ‘500 was born on the day of the epiphany in the year of the two mirrors and is run by a female and nonbinary collective. Spazio ‘500 hosts artistic nomads within its premises. It is a microcosm of dialogue, diversity, space within a place, beyond ties to the ordinary, to the obstacles that block connections. The space is a haven for creative creatures to thrive beyond the hypnosis of destructive realities, to nurture and let the central fire burn. Spazio ‘500 is where one can stay in deep listening and resonate with life in all its forms. The main building whispers of the Renaissance of which we who inhabit it mend the memories by licking the wounds of the past, transforming suffering, and furthering ourselves from hierarchies and categorizations, allowing all life present to blossom day by day. We explore generative alternatives to dominant systems of oppression through creative reciprocity, openness, and radical kindness. We embody a conscious mycelium choosing to become an interconnected part of a decentralized multiplicity.

LIGHT
The cross-shaped structure is aligned with the four cardinal directions; the space’s ceiling is made of mandala-like arches typical of the 1400’s local architecture. Spreading its vertical wings on two floors, 150 square meters each. The central hall on the second floor is equipped with mats and is 80 square meters alone. In the case of residency programs, she accommodates up to 20 people in shared rooms with 4 bathrooms and 2 showers. Our park: The park hosts in its 9000 sqm, secular trees and is a haven for wild creatures and from spring 2022 we welcome chickens to our team.

Spazio 500 is at the centre of a small village, accessible by a 25min bus ride from Trento. We encourage people to use car-sharing or public transport when arriving. We wish to respect the local environment and avoid overwhelming the neighbouring beings.
THE KITCHEN
The kitchen is a place of the symbiocene, nurtured and made beautiful by cooperation and inspiration. The way we nourish our life resembles our relation to the environment, taking us outside and beyond the anthropocentric and capitalist production of our everyday realities.
Continuously evolving, looking for ways to encourage symbiotic relationships, receiving and giving in an equilibrium. We cook from organic farm grows, gather wild herbs, grow both milk and water kefir, source locally as much as possible, currently planning a permaculture garden for 2022.
THE SEASON We share residencies, workshops of arts/ poetic living/ creativity/ independence/ performance, throughout June until the beginning of October.

ACCESSIBILITY
Spazio ‘500 wishes to be a kind microcosm where the creatures who enter it are welcomed to feel free to open up and externalize their authenticity. We wish our spaces to be inclusive and supportive for all creatures with particular care for women (trans, intersex, and cis) and all nonbinary, agender, and gender-variant people. Self-definition is at the sole discretion of the individual.
Discrimination towards marginalized people does not belong in our space. Most of our events are on the ground floor, hence they are accessible to people with mobility limitations. If a differently-abled person wishes to reach places that are less accessible it will be our core group’s responsibility to make it happen smoothly.
