RGS Dance Showcase – New Horizons Friday 18 March at 7pm An energetic evening of vibrant dance including Bollywood inspired movement; style studies of both Michael Jackson and Bob Fosse; and site specific work involving multi media. Along with these new dance pieces, we will be incorporating some old classics such as Street Dance and Stage. Free entry New Tyneside Orchestra Saturday 19 March at 7.30pm The New Tyneside Orchestra’s Spring Concert features Tchaikovsky’s popular 5th Symphony. In addition, there is a chance to hear Britten’s Four Sea Interludes and Jacob’s Little Symphony. The strings of the Orchestra complete the programme with a performance of Elgar’s Introduction and Allegro for Strings. Tickets £9/£7 conc. /£4 student
RGS Stars and Stripes Forever Concert Tuesday 12 April at 7pm The RGS Orchestra will play an American themed concert featuring classics such as Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man, Barber’s Adagio for Strings and Dvorak’s Symphony No. 9 From the New World. Chernobyl Continuity presents Youth4Youth11 – 25th Anniversary Concert Friday 15 April at 7.30pm Young people from the North East of England perform in a variety concert to raise money to bring teenagers from Belarus to the North East on RGS Mini Gala Concert month long respite holidays.
