As the first UK school in Vietnam and a member of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS), RGS Vietnam delivers world-class British education, meeting rigorous standards in teaching quality, facilities, pastoral care, and safeguarding.
Established in August 2013 under the name International School of Vietnam (ISV), the school has grown to over 500 students and 60 teachers representing 18 nationalities. In December 2021, it joined the Reigate Grammar family, becoming Reigate Grammar School Vietnam. The Class of 2026 will mark our eighth graduating class, the seventh with the IB Diploma, and the second with A-Levels.
Reigate Grammar School Vietnam (RGS Vietnam) fosters a diverse, international community with over 20 nationalities represented among nearly 200 students in Years 10-13. This includes 44 students in Year 13 for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Curriculum
RGS Vietnam is a not-for-profit international school serving students from Nursery through Year 13, o ering a distinctive learning environment with small class sizes (average 15-20 students) for personalized attention.
• Early Years & Primary
The journey begins with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), which provides a strong foundation for inquiry, creativity, and holistic development.
• Lower Secondary (Years 7-9)
A bespoke enquiry-based program fosters critical thinking, independence, and collaborative learning, preparing students for the rigors of external qualifications.
• Upper Secondary (Years 10-13)
◦ Years 10-11: Students follow the Cambridge IGCSE programme, developing a broad academic base and essential study skills.
◦ Sixth Form (Years 12-13): Students may choose between the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) or Cambridge International A Levels, both of which prepare them for global university entrance.

Entry & Language Policy
Entry to courses requires minimum grades (C for IGCSE/A Level/SL; B for HL), subject to faculty approval. English is the community language of instruction, with Vietnamese and Korean o ered as first languages, and French, Spanish, and Vietnamese available as foreign languages.

The 182-day school year is divided into two semesters: August to February and February to June. Each day includes seven 50-minute periods in a 5-day cycle, from 8:20 to 3:15. Main vacations are mid-June to early August (six weeks) and mid-December to early January (three weeks). Extracurricular activities (ECAs) are o ered on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

• Highest individual score: 44/45, a testament to excellence at the very top of the IB scale.
• School average: 35 points, significantly exceeding the global average of 30.85 (IBO 2025).
• 84.2% of students scored 30+ points, placing the vast majority of our cohort above the global benchmark.
• Within this, 8% achieved 40+ points (top 10% worldwide), 16% scored 38–39 points, and 13% scored 36–37 points - a strong cluster of high achievers that highlights both consistency and excellence across the cohort.

RGSV Founding Student Scholarship Programme - Celebrates 10 years of success with a 50% fee waiver from 2024-2025 for eligible students, subject to terms.

Graduation Requirements:
Cambridge A Level Graduation Requirements - At Reigate Grammar School Vietnam, students in the A Level pathway complete a rigorous two-year program (Years 12 - 13) following the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) curriculum.
• Students are required to enroll in a minimum of three A Level subjects, with the option to take a fourth depending on ability and university aspirations.
• Each subject is assessed externally by Cambridge International through written examinations and, where applicable, coursework or practical components.
• Passing grades are awarded from A* (highest) to E. A grade of U is unclassified and not considered a pass.
• Successful completion of three subjects at grade A* - E constitutes meeting the minimum academic requirement for an Advanced Level Certificate.
IB Diploma Graduation Requirements : Minimum 24 points from 6 subjects (3 HL, 3 SL), plus A-D in TOK/EE and CAS pass. Max 45 points.
IB Diploma Courses: 3+ points per subject; max 6 subjects.

RGSV students consistently achieve SAT scores well above global averages. Over the past six years, Math scores have been especially strong, averaging above 720 and peaking at 775, while EBRW scores have steadily remained in the mid- to high-600s. This sustained performance reflects the school’s academic rigor and its success in preparing students for competitive admissions worldwide, particularly in STEM and business fields.
