the vehicle is adequately integrated in the composition of the train in which it is intended to be operated, taking into account the safety management system referred to in the railway safety legislative decree and the STU concerning traffic operation and management.

With reference to paragraph b), on a temporary basis, such use is subject to the release of the mobility granted by the IM (RFI operating provision No. 27 of 18 December 2013) or to the assessment by the IM of train-LINE compatibility checks carried out by the Railway Companies. (see ANSF note dated June 17, 2019 prot. 12004). In accordance with the provisions of RFI's Operating Instructions no. 27 of 18 December 2013, the charges (inclusive of VAT) payable by RUs for the preliminary investigation carried out by the IM, with a view to granting the train accessibility, are shown below. These charges, which also apply if the IM approves the compatibility assessment of the train section submitted by the RU, as set out in the ANSF note prot. no. 12004/2019, refer to: 1) Examination of documentation 2) Study of the lines (mass per axle, mass per running metre, compliance with the gauge, absorptions and STB) for which the applicant is in possession of the Safety Certificate 3) Preparation of serviceability note

4) Preparation of note for insertion of serviceability conditions in service publications 5) Protocol and archiving

3.4.2 Staff acceptance process The safety staff employed by the RUs (for driving, assistance and preparation of train) must be included in the Safety Certificate lists held and entered in the databases by ANSFISA. The safety staff shall be required to hold and present suitable ID and qualifications to the authorised ANSFISA, according to the format provided for under the applicable legislation.
