Google Launches Future of Mobile Technology Dream with your eyes open; without all the baggage. NEW YORK CITY – Google Virtual Reality (VR) welcomes Daydream VR curated with World Sense, a cordless headset independent of external sensors. The product hits the company’s online market February 22, 2018 12 p.m. ET. The Daydream standalone headset offers an immersive VR experience without limitations created by cords and outside sensors. Their new World Sense technology allows for unbound mobile experiences without connecting cables or external devices. All the essentials, displays, batteries, cameras and controls, are all in one headset. “Innovative niche communities control virtual reality pushing the next big thing. Daydream VR is a milestone and our team plans to maintain momentum” said Vice President of Google Virtual Reality Clay Bavor. The headset is made of white plastic featuring adjustable padded fittings for user comfort. Daydream Standalone is also designed to relieve pressure on user’s eyes inspired by past customer product reviews. The Daydream VR headset is one of three headsets developed by Google VR over the past two years. The growing Google branch collaborates with non-profit organizations creating educational VR materials designed for public consumption.
