PAGE 70: A breakfast nook offers an intimate seating area and breaks up the larger kitchen-dining-living floor plan. PAGE 71: In this open concept living and kitchen area the subtle shift from a low ceiling to a vaulted ceiling defines the distinct areas of the home without compromising the contemporary flow. PAGES 72-73: In the kitchen, Carrera marble and crisp, white cabinets contrast reclaimed barnwood and timbers. PAGES 74-75: The impact of a contemporary chandelier over the dining table deepens the sense of contrast between old and new throughout the house. RIGHT: Built for multi-generational gatherings, comfortable furnishings and ample space for extended family were a priority in this mountain house. The bunk beds were custom-designed to offer privacy in this communal space. PAGE 77: Designed to maximize views and natural light, the primary bedroom combines the cozy texture of faux fur with the sophisticated form of contemporary furniture.
