Our industry leading online training and tracking platform, My-Individual Training Record (MyiTR), is central to this. My-iTR changes the way sites safety train, track and report. The online system runs alongside our more traditional onsite and classroom solutions. By law, every site needs to identify and record all employee training, be it delivered by in-house and/or external providers. My-iTR centralises this into one online record. Users can upload and record all progress from individuals to whole site reports. It is a virtual safety toolbox comprising of interactive safety courses and the tools to measurably improve then track and report on workplace competence. The regulator won’t accept excuses and with RTS and My-iTR supporting you, you’ll never have to give them any. You can have complete confidence in your competence.

MY INDIVIDUAL TRAINING RECORD Every terminal and site needs to record safety training whether it is delivered in-house and/or by an external provider. To meet this need we have developed the cutting edge system, My Individual Training Record (My-iTR) which simplifies this into one centralised online record.

My-iTR gives you the ability to upload and record all progress from individual to company and site-wide reports. You can prove your competence to the regulator or other stakeholders at a moment’s notice. The system runs alongside RTS’ more traditional onsite and classroom based NEBOSH, IOSH, PAAVQ-SET and ECITB accredited courses and bespoke training solutions.

WHAT IS COMPETENCY? So what is a competence management system? In plain old English, it simply means introducing arrangements to control a cycle of activities within your organisation. The end result? A system which assures and develops competent performance. RTS specialises in developing competence management systems which ensure that individuals receive the right training and understand the performance that is expected of them.

OCCUPATIONAL COMPETENCE

As an employer, you must ensure that any individual performing a task on your behalf has the competence to do so without putting the health and safety of themselves or others at significant risk. RTS Online’s Competence Tracker simplifies and enhances your ability to track and develop competence. The revolutionary tool is designed to enable you to: • Measurably track then develop the combination of training, skills, experience and knowledge a person has and their ability to apply them to perform a task safely

• Demonstrate to the regulator that workers are applying the training they’ve taken

Competence Tracker The Competence Tracker tracks the status of competence assessment against defined standards. These can be company policies through the relevant site procedures.

The 4 Stages of Competence The Competence Tracker is built on a four stage process. Each stage is locked until the previous section has been appropriately completed. Accessed from the RTS Online’s My Individual Training Record, users can see and manage their competence in association with their mentor or assessor.

Stage 1: Review the standard This area allows for the upload and review of specific site procedures or policies, with delegates confirming they have read and understood. On confirmation, they are provided access to the questions relevant to the standard.

Stage 2: Knowledge assessment

Stage 3: Trainee mentoring This area allows the site to assign an APPROVED mentor to ensure that the new trainee develops the correct skills in relation to the procedure before passing them forward for final task-based assessment.

Stage 4: Task-based assessment This area allows the site to assign a person APPROVED to carry out task-based assessments, ensuring that trainees or experienced employees carry out tasks in line with the standard.

COMPETENCE TRACKER

There is a range of approved knowledge questions that are drawn from the bank of questions with an agreed pass mark. The system is set to shuffle and mix questions. Successful completion of the knowledge questions then allows the delegate to be mentored or assessed (if a trainee, mentoring is conducted first).
