Xelius : winning carbon technology
Le cadre Lapierre Xelius résulte d’une technologie carbone monocoque exclusive en fibre unidirectionnelle HM et VHM et d’un nouveau procédé de fabrication. Les cadres monocoques Lapierre Xelius® sont fabriqués à l’aide de mandrins en silicone qui épousent les formes précises des parois internes du cadre. Ce procédé permet d’homogénéiser la pression appliquée lors du moulage pour une finition intérieure parfaitement lisse et une meilleure cohésion des couches de carbone. Les zones sensibles (la douille de direction et le boîtier de pédalier) sont ainsi renforcées sans rajouter de matière et donc de poids. Le résultat est un cadre monocoque encore plus léger et performant.
The Lapierre Xelius frame is made using an exclusive monocoque carbon technology and HM and VHM unidirectional carbon fibers. Silicone mandrels are pre-molded to have the exact shape of the inside of the frame. This means that there is unified pressure applied to the entire frame during the heating and molding stage, resulting in a perfectly smooth finish and therefore better adhesion between the carbon layers. Sensitive zones, such as the headtube and bottom bracket, don’t require extra layers, which means a lighter and stronger frame.

Le cadre Sensium 2 a encore optimisé ses qualités exceptionnelles de confort tout en s’allégeant sur la balance (900 gr en taille 46). La géométrie semi-sloping et les formes de tubes spécifiques du Sensium, conjuguées à l’action de l’insert polymère C+ placé à la base des haubans, permettent d’absorber et de dissiper les vibrations tout en transmettant l’énergie à la roue arrière. Comme pour le Xelius, le triangle avant du nouveau Sensium est fabriqué en carbone monocoque en fibre unidirectionnelle HM, à l’aide de mandrins en silicone qui épousent les formes précises des parois internes du cadre. Un procédé qui permet d’homogénéiser la pression appliquée lors de moulage pour une finition intérieure parfaitement lisse et une meilleure cohésion des couches de carbone. The Sensium 2 frame has optimized its exceptional comfort yet is still even lighter (900g in size 46). The semi-compact geometry and the special tubes with an elastomeric connector disperse vibrations while transmitting all your pedaling energy to the rear wheel. Like the Xelius, the front triangle of the Sensium frame is made using unidirectional HM carbon fibers. The monocoque production process uses silicone mandrels to apply a uniform pressure to the inside of the tubes, creating a perfectly smooth finish and better adhesion between the carbon layers. Otherwise sensitive zones, such as the headtube and the bottom bracket, are reinforced without adding unnecessary layers (and weight).
