The last smash Revelstoke’s Ainslee Arthurs goes up for a smash in the finals of the the Junior Girl volleyball Last Spike tournament on Saturday. The Revelstoke Avalanche fell in the final in straight sets, 25-21 and 25-23. to the Princess Margaret Mustangs. The final set was a back-and-forth affair, with Revelstoke coming from behind several times, only to drop the final two points in the loss. The Junior Boys team did not fair quite as well, finishing in fourth place after losing a hard-fought three set match to Brocklehurst Middle School in the bronze medal game on Saturday. The tournament was the last event to be held in the old high school. Graham Construction, which is building the new schools, assumed control of the building right after the tournament finished on Saturday in order to prepare for demolition.
